Lochgelly Golf Club
About
Lochgelly Golf Club is a relatively flat parkland course with views over the Meadows, the Lomonds and the Ochills. The views are worth the price of a round alone. It is located in Fife, Scotland, the heart of golfing country. Visitors have described it as a must-play course when in the area.
The golf course kicks off with a par 5 but only 479 yards. It's the only par 5 on the course and the longest hole at Lochgelly. The course is 5,454 yards, and par is 68.
No. 3 is a par 3, but certainly not a gimme at 222 yards. There are five par 3s on the Lochgelly Golf Club course, spread out liberally, with three on the front nine and two in the back. The back nine ends with a 319-yard par 4.
Lochgelly Golf Club has a pro shop, which is well-stocked by the resident PGA Professional.

Lovely scenery, not a great layout
Beautiful course but the entire course seems to be crushed into a space not fit for a full 18holes. There’s some lovely scenery, but there are both shared tee boxes and a shared green, sometimes you’re playing over greens and other fairways. Worth playing however as it is very well maintained and staff are very helpful and friendly. Green keeper does do a good job with the tricky layout.
Tough coirse
Very well kept course with some very challenging holes right from the start
Well manicured course
Congratulations to the staff of Lochgelly course, the fairways are well manicured, staff very helpful and impressive fast greens. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
Nice wee course
Bit higgledy piggledy to start with but think a second round would be more enjoyable. Greens in fantastic condition will play again!
Great condition considering dry weather conditions .
Enjoyed the layout .
Course and greens in excellent condition considering it is a municipal course.
Green fees good value especially for a Saturday morning.
Very well kept course
Fairways and especially the greens were in great condition. If it was a little closer to home I would play this course often

An interesting and varied layout, Lochgelly posed some thoughtful club selections - driver not recommended at some of the par 4s. A cold but windless day when I played in late April with the greens in good order for early season. With so many courses to choose from in Fife, this should be on a list of those to try.
