Lochgelly Golf Club

About
Lochgelly Golf Club is a relatively flat parkland course with views over the Meadows, the Lomonds and the Ochills. The views are worth the price of a round alone. It is located in Fife, Scotland, the heart of golfing country. Visitors have described it as a must-play course when in the area.
The golf course kicks off with a par 5 but only 479 yards. It's the only par 5 on the course and the longest hole at Lochgelly. The course is 5,454 yards, and par is 68.
No. 3 is a par 3, but certainly not a gimme at 222 yards. There are five par 3s on the Lochgelly Golf Club course, spread out liberally, with three on the front nine and two in the back. The back nine ends with a 319-yard par 4.
Lochgelly Golf Club has a pro shop, which is well-stocked by the resident PGA Professional.

Great Value
Played the course for the first time on 10 April so still very early in the season. Relatively speaking the course was in good condition, some real challenging holes, greens weren’t the best and a bit bumpy but for we paid and on a Sunday then no real complaints. Would definitely go back.
Great wee course
Nice course for all levels.
Decent challenges, blind holes, water etc.
Will be back
Lochgelly golf course
Great course and after recent weather and time of year it was not a winter green in sight and fairways were good also had a good days golfing will defo go back
Not bad for winter golf.
Had to buy one of those plastic hitting mats from the club house on arrival as your having to use them when playing from the fairways. Greens are quick for the conditions. Some challenging dog legs and narrow fairway, so definitely play for position not so distance. Had a great time as I ended up going round with a member because we where being held up but everyone deserves to be out on a Sunday.
Good days golf
First visit to this course, won’t be my last. Very friendly staff and members. Course in excellent condition for mid October. Absolutely love the 3rd hole a true risk and reward hole.
Hidden gem
Great golf course for the price,a lot of quirky nice holes and not too long, some cracking dogleg holes
A surprising find
Course was in nice condition for late September. Fairways were very dewy at the start but dried out later on. Some greens had been hollow tined so we're a bit bobbley but others were smooth. Second nine very tight but tree lined fairways were attractive to play on. Clubhouse catering not available so can't comment. Very friendly starter and players out on the course. Well worth a visit
Hidden gem
Lovely golf course, first 9 holes played like a links course, back 9 was more parkland, fantastic value, friendly staff.
Very challenging and thought provoking layout, will definitely be playing again
Gem of a find!
Picked this out of the ‘Hot Deals’ - was looking for a reasonably priced round within 45 minutes of home and this popped up. Given the price we had low expectations but it surprised us- from arrival at the Pro Shop where we received a lovely welcome, to the course itself was great. Fairways in good conditions and the greens were some of the best we’ve seen at a local club this year. If I had to be picky, aesthetically there’s a lot of drainage ditches but thankfully I was never in them. Overall, a great round of golf.
Lochgelly golf club
Great course, great condition. Fairways and greens very good. Staff and members very friendly. Layout a bit tight at bits, but overall very good.
Great wee course
We were greeted by a very friendly & informative starter who gave us good intel for the course. Beautiful setting and some marvellous holes, some of them a lot trickier than they seem. Overall in great condition, only thing I would say is some of the tees were a bit dubious, but other than that a super course. Afterwards we went in for lunch and again greeted by very friendly staff, food was fabulous as was the hospitality.
Great value and short but challenging course
Lochgelly was very welcoming and great value for money. The fairways and greens are in really good condition and the layout poses a mid handicap golfers with a good challenge. Some great views of the Ochil Hills in the distance and keeping the ball on the fairway is key. Staff and members friendly, welcoming and professional. Will definitely return for another round.
