Lochgelly Golf Club

About
Lochgelly Golf Club is a relatively flat parkland course with views over the Meadows, the Lomonds and the Ochills. The views are worth the price of a round alone. It is located in Fife, Scotland, the heart of golfing country. Visitors have described it as a must-play course when in the area.
The golf course kicks off with a par 5 but only 479 yards. It's the only par 5 on the course and the longest hole at Lochgelly. The course is 5,454 yards, and par is 68.
No. 3 is a par 3, but certainly not a gimme at 222 yards. There are five par 3s on the Lochgelly Golf Club course, spread out liberally, with three on the front nine and two in the back. The back nine ends with a 319-yard par 4.
Lochgelly Golf Club has a pro shop, which is well-stocked by the resident PGA Professional.

Excellent condition
Played lochgelly with three friends through golfnow for a bargain £14.
The course looks wide open but it's deceptive as there are a number of strategically placed hazards.
Some narrow driving through trees was a regular feature also a couple of water hazards as well.
Course was in great nick especially the greens which were first class.
We have payed more money for a round and was not as enjoyable as Lochgelly.
Would definitely recommend a round.
The staff were very helpful and nice condition off the course was fantstic good game be back soon
Quality Golf Course
Played Lochgelly Golf Course. Course was in excellent condition and had a great day. Definitely will return and definitely recommend playing here.
carnage
In the middle of the course, there are at least 5 fairways that run up and down side by side and are no more than 50 yards wide each. On the day that I played and in mid-morning balls were flying everywhere, no fore calls were being made, players were wandering about the wrong fairways , groups were being held up and it was an experience. Other parts of the course open out and are enjoyable to play. Course condition was good.
Friendly
As a couple playing at this course for the fist time, we found this to be the friendliest course we had ever played at. From the starter, to the people starting or finish g rounds everyone was helpful and friendly. A solo player on course even let us ay through as he was in no hurry!
Played here yesterday on a fine spring day. The course was quiet. Lochgelly is a most enjoyable course offering flat terrain surrounded by good views of the Fife hills. The man in the pro shop was extremely friendly and welcoming. All in all Lochgelly represents excellent value for money.
Lochgelly Golf club
Course was not surprisingly busy as it was a sunny day. Conditions were fairly good. Staff and members are friendly and offer good advice to visitors. Unable to use the facilities due to COVID restrictions. On the downside parking was a bit difficult as the car park was a little small. However this did not detract from the usual good day at Lochgelly. Would have no hesitation in recommending this course.

Good all round experience.
Nice course, good greens for time of year. Shame only nine holes open due to course maintenance!! Course quite high with views and strong winds on our visit. Staff very friendly but no facilities due to Covid-19. May visit again to see the holes we missed!
