Great play even in busy days
It was a decent pace game considering how busy it was. Nit unexpected considering such a fair price. Staff is nice even when they are slammed so that's always nice to see
Great value
Pretty good shape. Flat for walking. Friendly staffs.
Most factors are good. But really hard to get a tee time weekend.
El Dorado is the gold of South Bay / Long Beach
The course is challenging , beautiful and even more so during sun set! Please whoever is maintaining the course , give them a promotion. The guys I played with said this is the best the course has ever looked! The greens were amazing it’s my fav course in South Bay =)
Great conditions
Week before the Long Beach Open!
Greens perfect! Rough growing out, really challenging.
Difficult; Old Carts
It’s a tough course, especially for someone new(ish) to the game. The greens are fast and curvy. Even from 3-4 feet, will rarely have a straight putt. Bunkers envelope a few of the holes to where there’s only one narrow path to the green from the fairway. There are enough trees to make you lose a few balls and several dogleg holes.
The carts are old and don’t have parking brakes and the bag strap in the back was terrible at keeping my bag in place. Pace of play was really bad. Took 5 hours on a weekday to finish. Particularly backed up on the first and last par 3s (three groups waiting at one point), likely due to the difficulty of those holes. Cart girl came around several times which helped our group cool off with drinks.
4 groups booked at 220
There were 4 groups booked at 220. We teed off at 255 and didn’t finish before sunset. The staff was incredibly unhelpful and rude. Great course, but driving over an hour to not finish was not worth it.
