Solid
Solid course. No complaints at all fairways, tee boxes, greens, and rough all ingreat shape. Not PGA tour Pebble Beach quality but very very good. I save my 5 star reviews for the Pebble Beaches and Trump Nationals of the world so 4 stars is great very very solid
Nice pace of play on sunday afternoon
Pretty wide-open fairways and easy layouts.
The pace was great and we finished 18 holes in 4 hours and 10 mins. The only downside was the condition of greens which had a lot of holes and ball marks. Bunkers were also on a little hard side.
My New Favorite course
One of the best playing conditions I’ve ever played in. Including $1,500 courses. Also a very forgiving course. Amazing all around. I believe they’ve had PGA events there that’s how high quality it is
Greens Sandy and not readable. Otherwise nice course
Tuesdays the range doesn’t open until 11:30 or so. So no practice range for Tuesday t times before noon or so. Greens are sandy and break in all sorts off ways. Otherwise, nice course with good fairways.
The fairways and greens were amazingly good
But the sand traps were as hard as concrete. Otherwise a very nice round.
Do NOT book a Tee time through GolfNow.com
I googled El Dorado golf course to book a tee time. I don’t know how but somehow it sent me to golfnow.com. I booked a reservation for three 13-year-olds to play. When I got to the golf course to check them in, it was $135. And they wouldn’t let me use their youth on course memberships for a discount. It was supposed to be only $5 per player. Absolutely ridiculous! Never use Golfnow.com. Such a ripoff!
overall, a very nice course
Very busy course, Frontline much more difficult than back night. Lots of holes with dog leg either left or right if you can shape your shots, you will score while here. The greens are super fast, but consistent from hole to hole. Definitely not for beginners. I may 12 handicap and still find out course challenging. Probably the only complain is that it’s five hour round.
Nice layout.
I forgot how much I prefer El Dorado over Big Rec or course in OC for its mature trees and layout. Greens were fast but a little bumpy.
