St. Croix National Golf Course is a championship course that is tucked away amongst rolling, wooded hills. This scenic course is one of western Wisconsin's hidden gems. The undulating landscape covered with mature trees can seem intimidating but the layout was designed with spacious fairways and bailout areas that act as an excellent balance to the more challenging elements. The well conditioned greens putt fast and true, acting as a perfect complement to the beautiful scenery. There are strategically placed bunkers and water hazards coming into play but it is the topography will truly test your accuracy as well as a variety of other skills. St. Croix National G.C. also boasts a driving range perched high above a valley that collects the practice shots. It is the perfect preparation for the challenges of the golf course.

Beautiful views and very challenging

We had perfect weather, each hole has gorgeous views. Level of difficulty was higher than expected though and great drives weren’t rewarded due to blind drop-off landing spots, so many lost balls. The Grounds restaurant patio was awesome food with friendly staff and outdoor views. And the small pro shop gad high quality items that we had to buy. We’ll be back!

Difficult, yet scenic, course!

I loved and hated the course! It was a beautiful course, well maintained, but the difficulty level was quite difficult for “average” golfers! Bring plenty of balls!!!

Great and challenging course.

Local course with a lot of elevation. Great for a challenge or to visit the new clubhouse. Food was amazing and the course offers much more than just 18. Looking forward to my next visit.

Disappointed

This was my first time playing the course. For the price, I would expect a starter, a ranger to keep pace of play, or a beverage cart before the 10th hole. Unfortunately non of those things happened. The new clubhouse is beautiful and the course is in decent shape. That said, I will not golf there again anytime soon.

First time this year…

“St. Croix Nash” has undergone quite a transformation in the last couple of years. I almost didn’t recognize the course, as it seems to have undergone a fairly large reconstruction. It is still not an easy course, by any stretch, but the strategic removal of trees helped open up some very tight sections of the course. Overall the course was in very good shape, carts are nice, and their new clubhouse is very nice. I can’t wait to return…

Great golfing course

Challenging 9th and 18th finishing holes. Stay left on 18, hard to recover from a side hill lie.

Lots of options.

First impressions were this place has a lot to offer a golfer. Beautiful facilities with more upgrades currently under way. This place has lots of wooded fairways, lots of elevation changes and lots of picturesque views.

The first tee tells you a lot about a course and this is no different. The view is impeccable. About 350 yards from the green at the blue tees and about 200 feet down. Don't use a yellow ball on the first tee as the driving range is close enough to get a few errant balls on the right side. This course is challenging but for the avid golfer who plays blues or whites you should have an enjoyable round.

The greens were fast and in great condition. The fairways are very nice and the tee boxes are pretty good too. The carts are gas, have decent speed, nice comfortable seats, ball/club washers, and a great GPS/stereo with Bluetooth.

The restaurant has pretty good food, we had the breakfast croissant. The staff are friendly. The pro shop is small but a decent selection of items.

The driving range is pretty cool but you might have an issue if you want to see your flops and pitches hit the ground as you are up on a hill. The practice greens are beautiful and offer some fund undulating. I'd like to see a bunker/pitch practice area included but I can't complain too much. They also have a 19th hole but wasn't up and running due to construction on the clubhouse patio.

If you have a few bucks and an itch, check out St. Croix National and bring a good camera.
