It was nice our buddy who suffered 2 heart attacks recovered to get back on the course. And play very well
Fun layout
My friends and I played on a rainy day so there really wasn’t anyone in front or behind us. There seems to have been a juniors tournament ending as we arrived. The staff started us out at the back 9. I recommend getting the scorecard so you can see which hole to go to next. The course layout is fun, good amount of bunkers and the best thing is that you get to tee off grass and not mats. Perfect for practicing your short game. Where I live my Pat 3 courses are all teeing off mats.

Beat the rain
We walked 18 holes and it started to sprinkle on the last hole. No waiting at each hole and no one behind us fthatwe could ever see.
Terrible pace
Played on Thanksgiving…. Backed up like never before! We saw a 6-some and even a 7-some!!! Who even wants to play in a 7-some?! Make it make sense! Our threesome finished 13 holes in three hours. We quit after that bc we needed to get ready for dinner. It was not worth the time or the money.
Good Course, Great Food
The course is good. The cart was good. The driving range was great. And the food… can’t stop thinking about it. I had the Breakfast Sandwhich made with an English Muffin. It was fantastic. For lunch, I then had a double cheeseburger, cooked medium. And I really cannot stop thinking about how great the food is. The fries… can be a little better. Service was also fantastic. Thanks to Alonda and the chef working at the time.

Limited amount of carts, didn’t get one. Tough outing for seniors…
Happy Birthday to Me
I began Playing Heartwell Golf Course in 1973. Today I was able to celebrate my 70th Birthday with my Son-in-Law, a Grandson, and a Longtime Friend.
The Pace of Play was very good for a Saturday. We were able to Finish our 18 holes in just under 3 hours.
The Tees were a Little Thin on Grass, but the Putting Greens were in Very Good Condition.
This Golf Course is very popular with Beginning Golfers, so Numerous Ball Marks are very common on the Putting Greens. Don’t be surprised if you find your Golf Ball in a Footprint inside of a Bunker. A little Golf Course Etiquette could go a long way?
I as look forward to my next decade of golf, I am sure it will include several rounds of golf at Heartwell Golf Course.
Might consider it midweek sometime, but not the weekend
Staff was aloof at best. The course layout was interesting, but it was Sunday early afternoon and the course was very busy. Apparently there was a tournament in process. Pace of play was painfully slow. 2-1/2 hours to play 9 par three holes. We couldn’t take it and skipped the back nine, as did the other couple we played with. Most disappointing.
