Great conditions this time. Last week I reported greens issues with aeration & sand...MUCH BETTER now.
BEG3-17-26
The greens were recenly aeriated and the holes & sand made putting accuracy impossible. Also the cup sleves on several holes extended above the level of the green, knocking your ball away.
Otherwise, the course was in great shape.
Fix your ball marks people
Great course. Would be better if players fixed their ball marks
Fun long course
This course is a fun long course with decent greens.
Not sure what’s going on
Beautiful day, took 5 hours to get through 16. Booked for 4, one didn’t show..ate the $70, which was fine..but at that point, I think it’s only fair we play with 3. The starter decided to add a single (who was a cool dude) and I just don’t think it was fair for them to charge me for the 4th AND add a single to our group.

My favorite course in Long Beach. And it’s in really good shape at the moment
Work on your long game
Great course for long holes. We had a great time. They were on-time and had marshalls moving things along. We got the round done in 4 1/2 hours.
I liked this course some interesting testing holes the staff were really helpful and friendly
Great value
One of my favorite public courses in the area. It’s a longer course with a lot of elevation change and the greens always run true.
rude ambassador
The ambassador at Hole #1 was extremely unfriendly and rude. Our tee time was 6:20 AM, but without any call, they started another group at 6:05 AM for the 6:20 slot. When we arrived at 6:10 AM and said we were the 6:20 group, they yelled at us to hurry up and catch the group that left at 6:05. We skipped the 1st tee box and started playing from the 2nd hole, but we were already upset by this rude and illogical staff member. During check-in, another staff member kindly said they would call us, but it seems communication with that particular staff member is impossible. They probably have racist or sexist tendencies.
My last time playing here
Decided to call it quits after 11 holes already 3.5 hours in. Was on pace for a 5.5-6 hour round. Having a 7 minute tee time stagger allowing 5-somes is inexcusable. I will not be playing here ever again.
