Apple Mountain Golf Resort

The word I can best use to describe this course is majestic. With dramatic elevation changes and sharp turns golfers will definitely need well placed shots to score low on this course. The rating being so low definitely surprises me considering that this is a pretty difficult course. If you’re even thinking about playing for the first time, stop thinking and book a tee time. The views alone are worth it.

1st time playing here, Beautiful course!!! Challenging and shot placement is crucial here. Had awesome staff working here, had slow group in front, Marshall made them skip. Hole and pace picked up nicely, food was also very good, will definitely be back, P.S. bring extra balls

A challenging course where shot placement is key. If you are not accurate or play to aggressive you are in trouble!

I have heard of this course and I was warned that it is hard and to bring a lot of balls.

When you arrive you are greeted with the beauty of the Sierra foothills. It is so gorgeous here that you might forget to play golf and just look around.

The course is very hilly and several hundred feet in elevation change. It is very challenging, you need to know where to lay up and which club to use on the elevated tees. The fairways were in great shape, the greens were well manicured and VERY VERY FAST!!! I normally putt 32 to 36 times on similar courses, this time I had 41 putts. I lost 3 balls, one because I didn't know the course and hit a drive too far and OB I went. 2 others were lost in the hazard areas. i was happy with losing only 3 balls. My playing partner lost 12.

I cannot say enough how pretty this course is.

Every tee entry has a name for each hole, along with neat Totem pole yardages marked on them.

The course was in great shape.

However, we set off at 1:40 pm and didn’t finish until 7. A round over 5 hours is never enjoyable. Two groups ahead was a fivesome, and we waited for a few minutes on every hole. That being said, there was a Marshall on the course that we only saw once. Too bad, as the course was great other than the poor pace of play. Unsure I’ll drive an hour to wait on every tee box.

Challenging but awesome scenery and the coarse is in great shape. Nice weather a must play

Apple Mountain has got to be one of my favorite courses in the sacramento area, with its beautiful hills and wildflowers. It feels like it is just you and the woods. Highly recommend

Be prepared for huge elevation changes and at times, slow play. Bring plenty golf balls.

Fantastic weather, beautiful scenery with birds and squirrels, well groomed fairways and greens resulted in the lowest score (8). I haven’t had a single digit for a while and it wassuch satisfying and rewarding, not to mention the couple of birdies and a near miss eagle.

The thing that needed to improve was the condition of the tee boxes. They needed to shorten the grass and smoothed out, plus repairing the damages especially on the par 3 tee boxes . The players should be reminded and encouraged to use the tees for drive shots on the par 3 holes to prevent the damages on the tee boxes. Please groom the grass on all the tee boxes and put up a sign to use tees on par 3’s. Thanks.

Great day and the pace of play was very good. Greens were in good shape as were the fairways.

Beautiful course and setting. Hit it straight and enjoy!!

Beautiful flowers in full bloom and the deer family jumping over the fairways and even the wild mama turkey dragging her chicks. Took me back to Northern Europe that I vacationed several years ago. Needs beverage cart on the course. Greens were deceptively slow due to probably over growing grass. Fairways have improved over last month.

Being Wednesday afternoon, the course was not crowded so the pace of the play was excellent, completed the round in less than 4 hours. My wife had two birdies, beating me mercilessly. Thanks GolfNow for your good work getting this premier golf course.
