About
Prairie Landing Golf Club has received acclaim ever since first opening in 1995, including a four-and-a-half-star rating from Golf Digest. This West Chicago course will make you feel as though you've been transported to a seaside links course in Ireland. The prairie-style layout closely follows the tradition of classic links golf courses. Robert Trent Jones II designed the course, fully utilizing the rolling terrain. He incorporated large, undulating greens and rolling bent grass fairways. Vast swaths of native grasses stretch along the fairways and strategically placed bunkers frame the greens. There is also contoured mounding to contend with. The golf course finishes with a memorable par 5 that features fairway bunkers on the left followed by a carry over a lake to a well protected, high bowled green. Prairie Landing also boasts a practice facility that includes a driving range with target greens, four practice holes, and a nine-hole chipping and short-game area.

Love this course but...
They had just sanded the greens so that wasn't ideal. We got stuck behind these kids that didn't have a clue what they were doing, would hit like 3 balls each off the tee and then go pick them up and drive to the next hole after making us wait 15 minutes for them to get off the teebox. Other than the group in front of us it was a fun time. I wish a ranger had come by and resolved that situation.
Beautifully manicured Robert Trent Jones course...next to an airport
Excellent links-style course with incredibly fast undulating greens (running 11+ in November!). Several holes required risk-reward type carries over water. Extremely fair but challenging course. Great warm up facility. Overall a great deal using HotDeals, but I'm still coming back even at full price ($100).
Wonderful Golf Experience
Course was in really good shape eventhough it was end of November which speaks volumes for the maintainace crew there. Great clubhouse and range and can't forget the 3-practice holes you can play before your round if you have time to kill. Definetly a treat and as a bonus you get an air show.

this course is great value for what you get. state of the art GPS, driving range, 3 HOLE PRACTICE COURSE to get the rust off before you play, AND the course runs appx 10-11 on the stamp meter minimum, usually faster. Excellent layout right next to a small airport (that is really cool to see planes fly so low near you), and you get ALL of this for only 60-90 bucks depending on when you play.....definitely a must play if you live in IL. Enjoy and thank me later :-)
Classic Links Course
Conditions are great - every hole is different - no houses
October round
Went out as a twosome and it seemed like our own private course. The wind was very strong so we decided to play the course from the blue tees. It was a good decision, but next time depending on the weather I will play from the "gold" tees. Overall course was in very nice condition, greens were rolling. Food at the turn was not good, corned beef was horrible. I am not sure what the price is to play in season, but I expect it is overpriced. We paid $61+tax which at this time of year is too much, but it was convenient.
Excellent layout - can play short but challenging.
Excessive rains made for cart path only, so the round was over five hours. Didn't help matters that a fivesome was let out ahead of us. Also made for several lost balls in the rough as you would lose your line by having to stay on the path. The course is a great design and very good value for the money, on a normal dry day where you can follow your line to the ball. Playing from the proper tees is key to enjoying this course.

Tough course, great price
Played a couple of weekends ago with my old man, very difficult greens on certain holes and crazy layouts on others. The course is set next to DuPage Airport, so it kind of winds in and out of the area, then back into the woods for a group of holes.
Paid $61 while normally $99. Great deal for a good challenge.
Greens always in great shape
Always a challenge because of the effect of the wind. The speed of the greens is always fast and true.

From the minute we arrived, this course and staff are first class. Focus on customer service and the golf experience are as good as I have seen. Course was in great condition. Would love to play here more often!
