Golf Club of Houston - Tournament Course

Greens were aerated two days before playing. I wished they would have mentioned it when making tee time. I would have played a different course.

Course is very nice and fun to play, however they heavily sanded the greens this week.

Saw a deal on GN and jumped on it. Paid $110.00 for a round and at that price, still overpriced. Why anyone would pay full price for this course is beyond ridiculous. But there is good news. If you like paying north of $100.00 for slow greens, this course is for you. I still have no understanding on how the PGA or LIV golf tours held a tournament here. Unless new management came in and decided there was no need to keep the course in great condition...all I know, this course is well overpriced and definitely not worth any hype.

I kept wondering how any Pro golf tour would host a tournament on this course...mind boggling.

If you like spending over $100 for a round where the course has slow greens, then this is the course for you.

Had a wonderful time playing the Tournament Course for the first time. Was blown away with staff friendliness and great facilities. The course is challenging, in spectacular shape and just generally beautiful. Set off from the nearby neighborhood, almost all of the holes seem secluded and in nature. You forget you’re close to Houston playing this course. I will certainly return.

The course is average at best. There are much better options in Houston.

Everything about this course and the staff is great except pace of play. The round was just over 5 hours. Second week in a row the round was 5 hours. No marshalls to be found.

We played the tournament course and it was in unbelievable. Great shape. Greens were fast. Fairways were cut tight. Piece of plate was good. The pro shop was amazing friendly. Needed to have another Cart person more frequently but other than that it was great.

The course was an unbelievable shape. Fairways roll forever. The greens were super fast. 10 placement was like on a championship Sunday. We played from the blues. It was very challenging. If I had any negative it would be they need to hire one more Cart person. We teed off at 12:50. It was extremely hot. On some courses that I have played before they would have a Marshall come around with wet Florida water towels. Other than that, the staff was extremely nice. It was great to see you in the locker room. Some of the names that have played out there. I can say I played it, but it was a little high on price. A very nice.

Even though it was cart-path-only due to the weather conditions, it should not have taken an entire hour to play only four holes. While the cart indicated we were only seven minutes behind pace, the slow pace significantly disrupted our rhythm and enjoyment of the round.
