Harding at Griffith Park Golf Courses

First of all. The practice green is nice and firm, though a bit bumpy, had good speed also.

Then you get to the first green. And it’s wet. Moist. Soft. The ball goes splat. Gets stuck, even on a chip. What the heck.

Most of the greens were like that, today. Why?

Front 9 was only a hair better than the back. The back is tremendously horrible. Every green is bumpy, sticky, had not been cut or rolled, really damp and moist. Just because a week ago they were firm, they let them get like this?

The place is a joke. It is, a literal representation of all that is wrong with the City of Los Angeles when it PRETENDS to be a great city of the world. It is not. It is the most mismanaged and dishonest gangster city of the first world countries that had no problems lying about everything and just have surface appearances of being OK like a Hollywood movie production house is fake, that sort of thing.

They have been putting out extra water overnight and in the morning o keep the grass growing in the heat.

But because of that, the grass was extra long everywhere including a lot of the fairways that were basically light rough on most holes. Marry those two together it’s like playing after the rains! So the mowers couldn’t really cut in many areas due to it being too muddy.

They hastily cut the greens but didn’t roll them, so the vertical cut marks were way too lively to be able to make a smooth roll of anything as the ball would skip around a bit too much.

Wet and long grass from the middle of the fairway and some were mud balls. Just a weird way to get a round done in the morning before the heat.

Just depends on what day you go to the course I guess. Today was just bad timing. I’m sure it was better in the afternoon once it dried out a bit, but it’s so darned hot.
