Playing the Harding
It was great to get back out to Griffith Park and play the Harding. It had been about 20 years. the course was in good condition and the pace of play was adequate. We started off at 6:00 a.m. and finished by 10:00. I really want to play the Wilson next time. As the day progressed the nats/bugs came out, and it became hotter. Other than that, it was great to be out...
Fast greens, bumpy off road, no
Course layout requires some attention to detail when looking for the first and subsequent tee boxes. Greens were in excellent shape and fairways well kept. Fringe and areas around greens had a lot of bumps and otherwise unkept ground in places. Minimal facilities on course even at the turn, including refreshment stand or cart, which was a disappointment. However, ample water fountains abound.
Nice layout good condition
First time playing harding and I like the course more than Wilson. Course was in good condition greens were very good.ace of play was good on the front 9 but slowed on the back 9. Will play again.
Super fun
Great course layout, not for the faint of heart, or long drivers. Targeting is super important on this one. Course was in excellent condition, greens quick, nice and smooth. Beautiful views, especially from the top of 18 looking over the whole valley. Great price for this fun and challenging course.
Played by myself, played through on a couple holes, finished in under 3 hours.
Course condition is bad
I haven't played this course in a while, but the course was not in the best shape as possible. The course used to be in much better condition compared to brookside. It feels like the focus on maintenance has been less of a priority. Weed all over the course is common. Broken/non existent cart paths are common. Definitely didn't feel like the course was worth the money.
Nice Course; but
The greens need to be rolled. They are bumpy and uneven. The grass is growing in different directions every few feet.
Green Aerification
Careful on golfing at Harding/Wilson, greens still have sand/sod all over. It’s quite annoying to know that there wasn’t proper notification about the issue on Golf Now. No discount, and the same issue as last time I played there. Honestly there was only 1 green that didn’t full have sand/sod on it. Last time, I reached out to the County of LA treasure and no response. My only solution is to not play and if I do, always expect the conditions to be bad; until proven otherwise.
Way to overcrowded
Its good but pace of play is extremely slow so many groups of 4 to 5 making the game real slow having to be here longer than 4 hours. Also putting greens have dirt on them when i went due to make greens better but at that point i just drove back with cart ready to be done with the day after so many groups taking forever won’t be coming back way to overcrowded
