Golfer Reviews
Expectations were High
Our group paid ~$240 per player at Bahia Beach, the Four Seasons resort course. At that price you expect a full, well-run round. We didn’t get one.
Three of the holes were playing to temporary greens, and no one told us at booking or check-in. That alone should come with a disclosure and an adjusted rate.
On the 14th hole, a group of people who weren’t part of the round walked onto the course. Our pace of play fell apart, and we saw no marshal or staff respond.
After the round, we were told we couldn’t use the men’s locker room to shower. If that is reserved for hotel guests, it should be stated clearly before you pay green fees. Finding out after 18 holes in Puerto Rico heat is unacceptable.
The staff were polite, but nobody stepped in to fix any of these problems or explain them.
The setting is beautiful, but beauty doesn’t cover temporary greens, no course control, and no amenities at a premium resort rate. Until these issues are fixed, I can’t recommend Bahia Beach.
Temp greens
3 temp greens and no one said a word. Paid full price it was not a good trip here. I do not recommend this course until the green construction is complete.
Excellent condition
Course was in great shape from tee to green. Water comes into play on most holes, so driving accuracy is important. Greens were not too fast or undulating, but the pin placements still made them a challenge. Driving range was nice. They are currently working on the chipping green, so putting and chipping are both on a very small green. Service was outstanding, especially on the course where they will bring your lunch or snack (and iced towels) to you. Rates are high but you will enjoy their excellent conditions.
Perfection
What a beautiful course! Impeccable condition. Fast play. The staff could not have been friendly. One of the nicest resort courses I’ve been to.
Great course
We enjoyed the course and it played very well. Greens were fast and well maintained. Overall the course was in great shape and has held the water well from all the rains.
The service was a mess. When we arrived, there was no one to greet us, the Pro Shop was not that helpful and were to park, how to get to the first tee. Once we got a employee to get us a golf cart and show us the range and 1st tee, we couldn't figure out who the starter was and when to go.
Good track, needs the service level to comipliment a nice course.
Amazing Course Bahia
Course was in great shape and pace of play could not have been any better. Played behind a family but they kept the pace moving. Enjoyed the round and would go back tomorrow if I was staying in PR
Beautiful and challenging track!
Breathtaking views - almost like it was cut out of a jurrasic park jungle. Worth every penny!
Round of a lifetime
Had a group of 5, played without seeing another golfer, was the best part of the trip. Just absolutely incredible.
Loved It!
The course is beautiful, but pricey. We loved the course!
Tough but fair course
Plenty of water - no need for driver on most. Greens ran true.
Spectacular course
This was our first time in Puerto Rico. I wanted to play the Dorado East course but that has become private and can only be booked if you stay at the Ritz. We heard great things about the Bahia beach course. It was amazing! Golf was challenging but fair. Golf cart was the most comfortable cart I have ever been in. Staff was exceptional. Water views on almost every hole. We played as a two and we’re done in 3:15.
We rented clubs for $85 and they were brand new. I would DEFINITELY play here the next time I came back. Worth every penny.
Great course. Some greens were not up to the perfect condition as the rest of the course. Pins were always in spots where it didn’t affect putts. Will definitely be back next time in PR.
