The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge

The course was not up to the usual excellence that you expect at Chapel Ridge, but it is not the fault of the management, it's winter. Despite that, I had one of my best rounds of this wet soggy winter. I love this course. though and look forward playing it again.

I played there today, paid for 18 and only played 9 as the conditions were terrible. Although there was rain recently the bunkers had not been raked in days, sand had washed out and there were still large water puddles in the bunkers. Can't remember the last time I left at the turn. Just a bad experience from the shop staff to the facility altogether. Beware!

I really like this layout. It's not a pushover but if you play strategically and avoid stupid mistakes, you can put up a pretty good score. .

I find it disappointing that this course looks to profit by changing patrons who wish to social distance during Covid-19. Beware they charge an extra $10 if you wish to ride in separate carts. Every other course in the triangle offers the use of extra carts for free during these unprecedented times, but not Chapel Ridge

Great layout but the greens have sand filling in the bare spots and no one repairs ball marks on these soft bent grass greens. I would be upset if I had paid full price. Also bunkers need some work to be up to par. Not sure when I’ll be back, especially when sister course The Preserve is in better condition.

Great design and layout, nice staff, good greens even for this time of the year. Good tees and fairways, liked the elevation changes, loved the concrete cartpaths. One area for improvement would be to give a facelift to the bunkering as it is what makes this course special.

I always love the layout of this course. The greens and bunkers need some work... but for the $20 I paid on Golfnow discount ok for the money. Hope they get some money to work the bunkers and greens.

Overall the course is in good shape. There are several greens that have bare spots and will be in need of seeding or sod next spring. This has been somewhat of a problem unfortunately for a few years. Tee boxes and fairways are good.

The course is in good condition and is a challenging layout. How can you beat being on a beautiful golf course on a wonderful day with friends you love to be with. Chapel Ridge always seems to satisfy :-)

Love this course since it opened, but didn't play often this year due to their wanting$55- $65 during prime time. It's good but not that good. Got a "hot deal' for $39 so came out on 10/31. It was wet from Thursday night rain so cart path only. To echo some previous reviews-

Bunkers are pretty much un-playable all over the course for 2+ years now. As far as I know there are no plans to fix them. The bent grass greens are hit or miss. They appear to have gotten rid of the weeds but there are still many bare dirt patches and sand, especially on the back. I'm no agronomist, but you'd think some of the patches would grow in this fall. They have fixed the collars, which had been awful. Fairways and tees are in pretty good shape. Pace was awful, 4.5 hours, partly due to the cart path only, The layout is awesome however, that's what keeps us coming back. Just wish they'd spend the money to fix the bunkers and go ahead and bite the bullet like everybody else and convert the greens to Bermuda. I just don't think they can afford it or it would've already been done. It's well worth $39.but not more than that until they do.
