#17 I think this should be the signature hole. Enough balls in the lake to make it look like an Easter Basket. Lol Photo submitted by Geno7176732 on 09/27/2016

Brutally Bad Greens
I have to say that I have played this course many times and it is in the worst condition ever.
There were at least 8 or 9 greens that were virtually gone. They had a boatload of sand on a lot of the horrible areas. It’s really unfortunate as the layout is spectacular but they really need to replace the bent grass greens with a form of Bermuda as most every other course has already done.
Also the starter who’s name was Richard was crotchety and rude. It was cart path only and he emphasized that “all 4 wheels must stay on path at ALL times”. I’ve been playing golf for over 50 years and don’t appreciate being treated like a beginning player. I think after being in the golf business for 20+ years I certainly know how to treat a golf course. Richard simply was a miserable individual and a poor “face of the golf course”.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We did experience an unseasonably hot summer and due to that our bent grass greens were damaged. We are working through the process of getting them to come back during the cooler weather, which is why you experienced many greens with added sand and seed.
It is our policy to emphasize to our patrons that all 4 tires stay on the cart path during cart path only days, however I will talk with Richard and make sure we are doing so in a friendly constructive way. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope you will give us another try when our greens are fully healed.
Among my Favorites
Sand traps a bit rough, but fairways were lush. Cart path only today due to wetness, so lots of walking added in. I'll keep coming back..need to make pars on holes that I haven't yet.
Thank you for the 4 star review!
Fun
Greens were a little rough in some spots and a few bunkers weren't in great shape, but everything else was very good. Fun and enjoyable course.

Terrible greens
Played here on Saturday and the greens were pretty terrible. Lots of dead spots and divots. Tee boxes and fairways were in good shape but the greens were disappointing. Would recommend to a friend when the greens are in better shape but I was disappointed for the price.
Thank you for the 3 star review! Due to one of the hottest summers in NC history our Bent Grass greens are experiencing some summer wilt. We have added some additional maintenance practices to our fall schedule and are confident they will fully recover by mid October.
Thank you for your 3 star review, our Director of Golf would enjoy hearing more about your experience.
Thank you for your 5 star review! We look forward to your next visit to one of our three area golf courses, Preserve, Falls Village and Chapel Ridge GC.
Great Value for a beautiful course
Great hot deal on this course. Worth playing and will play it again. Some of the greens were not in the greatest conditions but the rest of the course was in good condition. For the price, I would not complain about the greens. I really liked the course because it feels vast and open. You really feel like you are unplugged and in nature enjoying the game how it should be played.
Chapel Ridge
One of the best courses in the area. Greens were in great shape and the course has a great layout.

Chapel Ridge
When I arrived I could see the course was going to be absolutely beautiful. I arrived and there was a drizzle. The pro shop staff and ranger/ starter were very friendly. I got right on and there was no waiting. The course was not packed at my arrival. They paired me up with another single.
The course itself was absolutely beautiful to look at and play. The fairways were nice and many elevated greens. It was challenging but fair.
The greens could use some work but they mentioned they are working on them. They didn’t spoil my time at the course. It was drizzling out most of the round so the course was very wet.Fairways were wide. Greens were slow on the front 9 and began to speed up a little on the back.
It was about a 45 minute drive for me but I will be back! The course reminds me of The Preserve at Jordan Lake.
Thank you for the 4 star review and good feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your experience and welcome your next visit at one of our 3 area courses, Preserve, Falls Village and Chapel Ridge GC.
Return to Chapel Ridge
Haven't played this course in quite some time and glad to be back. Fairways were in great shape. The greens had some bare spots but it wasn't too bad. The rough was just that...rough! Very challenging. Will definitely return.

Great layout
First time playing here. Staff was very great, especially when I mentioned it was my first time playing here. I really like the layout. With a few exceptions (which we were alerted to in the pro shop), the course is right out in front of you. Some really fun holes. Bent grass greens (unusual in this climate) but really nice in spots. A few rough greens and way too many unrepaired pitch marks. Carts were 90 degrees despite some recent rain. All in all a great round and we will come back. This is about a 40 minute drive for us, so it is not around the corner, or I would play here weekly.

Nice course
Looks like they are having trouble with the greens. I was surprised to see so many dead spots.

What happened?
They have seemed to have lost their greens and bunkers in rough shape. Too bad.. I really used to like this track...

What greens?!
This course is usually in great shape. But if you’re taking tee times and not telling the caller that your greens are burnt up, you are not providing good customer service.
The staff member in the pro shop was surprisingly rude. I’ve never had this issue before.
Such a great layout. I was really disappointed with my experience.

The place is a disgrace, the people in the Pro Shop are condescending and think they are better than their customers... Which is kind of interesting considering they are the ones working at a golf shop and we are the ones playing golf. The greens are more representative of a $20 golf course.
