#17 I think this should be the signature hole. Enough balls in the lake to make it look like an Easter Basket. Lol Photo submitted by Geno7176732 on 09/27/2016

Nice course
Great Davis Love course. Staff is quite good and rangers do come around to help pace of play. 4 hours flat today.
Punched Greens
It was disappointing to get to the 1st green and see that they had been aerated within the last couple of days. It was not disclosed when booked...& no one in the shop or starter mentioned anything. Really not good business. You need to post this. I would have played somewhere else!
Thank you for the 4 star review! We apologize for your unpleasant surprise. I will talk with the staff and make sure we do a much better job of communication our aeration dates in the future. Our Director of golf would enjoy discussing your experience further.

Great course
We enjoyed the day outdoors, the course was in great shape and the staff went out of their way to be accommodating to our group. Greens were solid and the course was challenging and the lay out beautiful. I enjoyed this course much more than the preserve. Golf here you will enjoy it.
Thank you for the 5 star review!
Be careful
I have showed up twice with a golf now reservation that the course does not hàve on the tee sheets. I get the feeling they don't like golf now members or are just lazy. Call the course to verify or you might be driving home
Thank you for the 4 star review! Our Director of Golf would enjoy the opportunity to discuss your experience further.

Good Round but Scary
I think golfers must think we are immune to the virus. My partner and I were very wary of each other but it is hard to practice social distancing in the same cart. I think this course and all may need to consider limiting the # of golfers on the course to allow for individual carts. I realize that is a profit killer but some money is better than no money. May not matter anyway if we go to "Shelter in Place" If this was my last round of golf for a while I am glad it was at such a nice course.
To my knowledge most all courses are limiting carts to one person except for this one. They removed rakes, say leave pins in, but then expect you to snuggle up to someone in the cart. Sort of defeats the purpose. Clearly it is about revenue and not caring about the people...
Getting there ...
Played here a few months back and was so disgusted with the greens I swore I’d never come back, which is a shame since I love the layout. Read a recent review that said that issue had been resolved so ... we gave it a chance. Greens are significantly better and hopefully, are on the mend for good. Wet conditions so cart path only which made for a long Sunday but all in all when spring comes around Chapel Ridge will be in our heavy rotation!
Good Shape
I had avoided this course in Fall 2019 because I read it had lost many greens. I decided to give it a try yesterday during an unusually warm January afternoon and played the front nine (so this review is based on the front nine only). The greens and the rest of the course were in fine shape. They have fixed their greens Most traps were also in good shape - just a couple had some water drainage problems - but we have had a lot of rain over the prior 3-4 days. Overall the course was great and it is a fun place to play with an interesting and challenging layout..
Great layout, fun to play
Chapel Ridge has always been a very playable for all calibers of players. A very picturesque course with rolling hills, subtle doglegs, and variety of shots needed on each hole. Uphill and downhill shots, and tough approach shots to score well. Quality of fairways is much better in recent years. I do wish they would transition to bermuda greens as bent greens have always been touch and go , some years in good shape, others not so much. Course crews are doing a great job in last few years mowing , cutting fairways, rough and around the greens to make it more visually appealing which is nice.
Thank you for visiting us at The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge. We appreciate your 4-star review! We hope you join us for another round soon.
My nearby favorite
Third time playing here and will return often. Great value, good challenge, varied levels of difficulty among the 18 holes. Sand traps rough and rocky...only reason for not 5 stars.

Chapel Ridge not what it used to be
I had not played Chapel Ridge for a few years and was disappointed in the condition of the course.
There was a lot of ground under repair, muddy and dug up areas in and around fairways and most greens had lots of rough spots and bare spots on them.
I was especially surprised to find the course in that condition during the week of the SAS championship ( which is a PGA Tour Champions tournament being held just a few miles away in Cary NC). And since Fred Couples was in town playing that tournament. I hope he didn’t have the time to go over and see the conditions at Chapel Ridge.
CR is coming back
As this is my home course I was pleased to see that the course is coming back. An effort appears to be being made to improve course conditions.

Stay away (at least for awhile)...
I live about 50 minutes away and I paid $35 sr. rate at a course I generally love traveling to and playing. That price was about $30 too much! Greens are in horrible shape as it's truly hit and hope putting. Some greens are aerated, others have been painted, others have tire marks running thru them. All have bare spots and are "muddy". The collars have been re-sodded in places so around those areas are marked GUR. I know the course will get better and it's just a rough patch right now but I cannot recommend someone play there in the near future. At the very least they should lower their greens fees because of all the problems...
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. However, we're very sorry to hear that your recent experience was anything short of our usual expectations. We truly appreciate your patience & understanding regarding our greens, but we can assure you we are continuing to take the proper steps in our efforts towards getting Chapel Ridge in good shape going into the fall season and getting the course back to the best it can be. Your feedback has been shared with our staff, and we hope to welcome you back for a better round soon!
