The Golf Club at Chapel Ridge

I used to love to play here but not now. Always loved the layout and was usually in decent to good shape and used to be priced fairly. But ooooh how times have changed.I will start off by saying no i did not pay full rack rate which is now $89. I got a deal on golfnow thank god. New greens?????.... i couldnt tell same as the old ones sloooow and not cut short enough. Crabgrass everywhere. Bunkers were a mess. Tee boxes need watering or give players a hammer to get tee in the ground. No right to charge $89 rack rate. Place was empty too. Now on to the staff. Guy behind desk is rude flat out rude and uninformed. Even though i pre paid through golf now. They still try and charge me extra for a cart because im a single..... lol unreal. Once tried to get a lesson booked here. The pro actually told me he can only do mornings. Ummmmm i work like most people. This track has all but been eliminated from my cycle of courses. Only played because i got a hot deal.....oh and new "DYNAMIC" pricing.... $75 at twilight lol lol lol lol. Please....

Loved the layout and generous fairways. Greens rolled well. Will be back for sure.

The course is a great layout, wide open with large Bermuda greens and a variety of elevations. The fairways were filled in nicely and greens had recently been verticut. There had been work done in the bunkers, but still lots of rocks in each bunker.

The staff in the clubhouse and grill weren't very friendly. Pace of play was very slow for an 11am tee time in 90 degree weather, with very little etiquette from the group ahead of us as we waited on them on every hole. No starter on the first tee, no beverage cart, and no ranger during the entire round.

Lots of the tee boxes had tall weeds on them, areas around the greens had not been mowed. Lots of bare/hard pan spots on the edges of fairways and cart paths. The tee markers need to be repainted, as well as a 2nd tee marker for hole 12 par 3 as there is only one.

There is no drinking water or ball washer water on the course.

For the lack of amenities, it is hard to justify paying full price on the weekends. It's a great track that needs some attention to detail and staff care. As a local golfer that plays 60+ rounds a year, I will spend my money elsewhere.

Bring plenty of balls! Lots of thick woods and your gonna want a few balls off 17 if pace of play will allow!

This course was excellent. Layout was challenging, conditions were great. Would play again.

Could be an upper tier course if they would drastically improve the bunkers and improve the fringe areas.

Nice scenery. Played on a week day afternoon. The pace was excellent. Greens in good shape & challenging. Liked the course layout
