Played on the 4th
Course was empty on a public holiday. Was in great shape. I like the layout. Not too many major pitfalls for a mid handicap players. Always a bailout area if you don’t want to go for the green over a hazard. The back nine is slightly easier than the front
Great experience
My son and I played our annual Father’s Day round this week. The course set up nicely, open fairways, but challenging. The new greens were especially fun. The staff were great. We’ll definitely return soon.
Great Layout - A Bit Under-Maintained
Built on a beautiful piece of land with rolling hills, the layout of Chapel Ridge is nothing short of excellent. The course plays 7200 from the tips, so it has the distance to challenge top level players. The new greens are still a touch slow and bumpy for my liking, hopefully they’ll fire them up a bit towards the end of the summer.
The tee boxes, fairways, and rough are all in great shape. There are some pretty significant bald spots around a couple of the greens. The bunkers look to be completely neglected - many have lost their edges and I noticed quite a few with grass growing in them (come on guys, that’s basic).
Driving range and practice green are fine but no chipping. The membership must have stone hands around the green. When a course doesn’t have a chipping area, they need to allow chipping on the practice green. I mean…is this not America?
This course has potential to be top 25 in the state if fully maintained.
Great shape, just a little slow
The course is in great shape. I’ve been waiting to check out the new greens. They look great! Some greens hold really well but some aren’t quite there yet. They aren’t rolling too true, but it’s all part of the maturing process for new greens. They are being meticulously cared for. If you didn’t know the greens are new, it wouldn’t affect your round in the slightlest. great track
Chapel Ridge
My favorite course in the world! Wide enough to drive it without total fear. Yet a shotmaker's course. Love it. Greens were outstanding! If you see a bad review -- it's from the year the greens were poor. They are perfect now!
Long-standing favorite
Very hot, so course was empty in the afternoon and pace was very fast. Greens in great shape.
A favorite
Always enjoy playing Chapel Ridge; fair yet challenging. A good mix of moderate to challenging. New greens in good shape and putt well.
