Even with the course construction the conditions are good

Heavy construction underway. Greens were good though and the Fairways overall were fine. Good place right now to work on your game.

Course layout is interesting and maintenance is diligent. The whole course, however, is under major reconfiguration, with your gps course guidance of little help. The first nine holes offer quite a challenge to navigate through construction field. No serious round should be planned, but worthwhile for fun with a quick round due to less golfers around on the course.

The whole place is under construction including the golf course. I wish I was told beforehand through Golf Now.

I wish golf now would warn people of course conditions. This course is not playable. Construction everywhere hard parking no amenities whatsoever. Play discourse many times with perfect greens I was so disappointed. They didn't even say much in the pro shop other than they were slow. They were aerated. Again I wish golf now would warn about these type of conditions. Wish they would give me my money back, I think I'm going to stop booking on golf now for a while

When I book a round the first thing I look for is an aerification alert to make sure my colleagues and I do not WASTE MONEY PLAYING ON SAND PUNCHED GREENS. The tee time had no Course details apart from the ongoing construction... the course completely failed to mention or post that the greens were un playable. Absolutely unacceptable considering they are still charging a full price weekend rate. THE FULL PRICE RATE INDICATES THE COURSE SHOULD BE IN FULL PRICE CONDITION CORRECT ?!? It should either be POSTED CLEARLY on the reservation app how poor the course condition stands or the rates should have been discounted. I would never have booked here if the course listed their description appropriately. The course was literally trying to hide the fact that the greens were punched. Not even a mention of it at check in, we had to discover it after playing to the first green. An entire Sunday wasted to play a 5 and a half hour round on a sub par overpriced course. I play the course 1-2 times a week and the aerification was NEVER mentioned. This snake like way of running a course is disgusting and pretty much guaranteed this was the last time I bring GROUP BUSINESS (10-12 customers per week) back to this poorly run shady facility. Our entire group was furious and agreed to do the same. As we spoke to the groups in front and behind us about their experience over the course of our 5 and a half hour round , the general consensus was that no one would be returning to or recommending Shorecliff Golf Club because it is POORLY RUN AND OVERPRICED. Everyone on the course felt like they had been robbed and deceived. UNACCEPTABLE

Shorecliffs has reduced their historical yardage by about 2000 yds. Their tiny but well maintained greens are still putting well. A lot more water has made its way to teh course and the notorious bare spots are not nearly as many. Additionally, some little house keeping touches have made a dusty dog track a lot more appealing. The dilapidated clubhouse has been torn down, and operations are now done from a temporary trailer in the parking lot. The driving range is gone to finance course improvement. Holes 1, 9, and 10 have been cut in half. Holes 5 & 6 where the landslide occurred have been obliterated and are just a long cart ride - I really hope that eventually they can get these back. They were gems in their original form. There are still a lot of drives through storm sewers, but lights and covers over the drainage have improved many of these smelly areas. Its coming along. There are still some tough shots to make. I hope the progress continues. I am going to put it back on my play list (Par 66 now, so your score looks pretty good on paper!)

I last played the course 5 yrs ago. I heard they were under going major improvements and was glad to hear that. The overall playability of the course was a big improvement over my previous experience. The greens remain some of the best in Orange County , distance calculation was difficult on the make shift holes necessary to have 18 holes open for play. A range finder would have been very handy.. I will play again soon and think it will be a little easier.

conditions are about average fr this time of year and with maintenance next week greens are not quite as good as usual.
