About
Shorecliffs Golf Course wanders through the coastal canyons and valleys of San Clemente, heading towards the beautiful shoreline. Situated just steps from the ocean, the course enjoys cool ocean breezes and a temperate climate, which makes it a year-round haven for golfers. Its location also provides the golf course with plenty of scenic ocean views. The course features narrow fairways tightly lined with trees and small greens bordered by sand bunkers. The front nine is shorter and requires more accuracy than the longer, wider back nine. Shorecliffs opens with one of the trickiest par-5s in the area. This dogleg left hole features trouble both left and right. Although the layout does offer a fair challenge, players of all skill levels will feel comfortable taking on the golf course.

Amazing
Great course. No shop but everything else about it was amazing
Course in rough shape
This course has always been under some state of repair as long as I can remember. As of recently, they have split the par 5 hole #1 into two holes, and hole #4 is out of play. The signage is somewhat confusing. The greens are a little beat up, but the rest of the playing surface is in the usual shorecliffs state.
Worst Golf Course in North America
My advice is to play this golf course once so you will feel better about any other golf course you ever play. In 25 years of playing golf, I have never seen a course so completely awful.
If you love golf, you will hate it after playing here.
If you are new to golf, you will never want to play again.
If you are good at golf, it will take you weeks to recover.
I think the course is a practical joke put on by somebody. If that is the case. Good job!
Joe the Marshall is Terrible
Joe the Marshall is terrible, pace of play on a Friday was EXTREMELY slow so we called the Marshall to see what was going on. The foursome in front of us was so slow that the group in front of them was 2 full
Holes ahead. We knew this was the case so we called the Marshall and he questioned OUR pace of play instead lol. We were moving quick, playing ready golf and this dude had the audacity to question us. Once he drove ahead and saw the almost 3 empty holes he came back and said we were right. But this clown should not have Marshall privileges, he should be washing carts.

looks like a lot of construction which mostly affects the appearance but does not fully impact play. fairways are winter thin but still mostly ok lies. greens are firm and fairly quick a little more bumpy than usual but overall good for this time of year

They are trying to bring this place back. It will be a short fun course in a couple years.
Nice course for the $$$
I enjoy playing this course, always seems to be some morning availability. Tee boxes ae in rough condition. Not sure what happened, but when I asked if I could ride alone that charged me an extra $10. After the round I found out I was the only one who was charged....everyone else rode a single cart and was not charged.
