About
Shorecliffs Golf Course wanders through the coastal canyons and valleys of San Clemente, heading towards the beautiful shoreline. Situated just steps from the ocean, the course enjoys cool ocean breezes and a temperate climate, which makes it a year-round haven for golfers. Its location also provides the golf course with plenty of scenic ocean views. The course features narrow fairways tightly lined with trees and small greens bordered by sand bunkers. The front nine is shorter and requires more accuracy than the longer, wider back nine. Shorecliffs opens with one of the trickiest par-5s in the area. This dogleg left hole features trouble both left and right. Although the layout does offer a fair challenge, players of all skill levels will feel comfortable taking on the golf course.

They’re trying
Starter didn’t wear his mask properly. Greens are getting better. Beverage cart is new and nice option. Construction always seems to short you a hole or two.

Where do I get my money back
If I would have known their major re-construction going on I wouldn’t have chosen this course. No where in GolfNow mention this info. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY AND TIME!!!!
If you want to play this course wait at least 2 years to finish construction maybe then it’s worth revisit.

Not worth the time
I appreciate them trying to stay open during Covid but this place has no business staying open with the amount of construction going on. The place is a train wreck I wouldn’t play it again if you paid me. Maybe another couple years when construction is done, til then don’t waste your time.

Fun day
We like this place bc it’s cheap and chill. Starter let us out alittle early and finished easily before dark 1:24 tee time. Hole 5 par 3 finally open for play again but was surprised to see hole 3 closed.. they were just doing alittle work by tee boxes so not sure why

Terrible
The conditions were very bad, from tee box to fairway to the greens. The course was also chopped up; many holes that were par 5’s were turned into par 3’s. My GPS was all confused as to which hole it was on.

Green was punch that did not alert the player before booking
The course is under construction, green are air regatta.
Staff are not friendly- they forget we are the customers.
I.E. On hole number 7 the Marshall stop us for checking our tttime to make sure we are not playing illegally.
Never play here again with this kind of attitude.

The course is in terrible condition and you can only play 17 out of 18 holes.
The golf no price for this golf course is outrageous. There should be ashamed of themselves!

Airiation not disclosed. Greens were cat boxes.
When making the tee time, I did not see that the greens had been punched.. Hole one had 2 inches of sand covering the green. There was NO green.
The course was frequently mushy and poorly drained.
I expected better conditions.

Cliffs but no Shore, Unimpressive!
Pros: The staff was amazing and the Marshall even gave advice from time to time for best success on certain holes. Friendly and fun environment.
Cons: The course was in terrible condition, mud, water everywhere. Take a lot of balls because if you are not on the fairway, the ball is gone! Honestly the layout and cart path was hard to navigate from hole to hole.

still a lot of construction with some temp changes to keep 18 holes in play. Lot of excess trees shrubs removed so less lost balls and improved pace of play. Fairways still good rough on the short side. bunkers covid condition and tees the weakest part of the course. greens are quick with some showing wear from increased play and poor pitch mark repair .but still are some of the best around
