About
Bartow Golf Course is a municipal course that offers an affordable yet challenging round. The course has a classic design with an interesting mix of holes that range from being wide open to narrow and tree lined. The postage-stamp-sized greens demand accuracy and there are also a few strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. Build up your score on the front nine before tackling the tougher back nine. The golf course has enough challenges to keep more advanced players satisfied but it's forgiving enough to appeal to beginners as well. One of the most memorable holes is the par-3 13th. There is a tree that stands right in the middle of the fairway, forcing you to either go over or try to get around and risk going in the sand trap.

Good course
Overall good course. Good layout and moderately challenging. Pace was a little slow this time but generally has been good in the past.
Nice little course.
Nice layout, green were true and fairways were just ok. Bang for your buck was excellent.
Great course
Course was in good shape. A bit wet from rain so some soft areas in fairways so good to stick to path & avoid damage to fairways.
Bartow Golf Club
4 of us played today and although the course was busy the pace of play was excellent it only took us 3hrs 15 minutes. The Staff were very friendly and the clubhouse improvements are very good, the fairways are not the best but didn’t spoil our round. We play this course most years and always enjoy ourselves.
Very good value
This course is very flat with mostly elevated greens. They've installed some new greens and they are filling in nicely. The fairways are average but mostly OK. Mulligans, the restaurant within the clubhouse has excellent food with a friendly staff. The overall experience is very good and we go back often and we recommend it to others.
Saturday at the tow
The inside staff was very friendly. The course was in very good shape. The greens are very good a little slow but good. They are new. The rough is rough which makes you to keep the ball in the fairway. This is the first time I played there since the new greens. My son and I love it. We had a great time. Saw a lot of our friends that we haven’t seen in a while. It was great
Greens are being redone later this month. If we had known this would have chosen another course. Greens were very poor. I look forward to seeing how the new greens will enhance the course.
Couldn’t recommend the course at this time we will see with the completion of the new greens.
Bartow Golf Course
My brothers were in town from Connecticut, we decided to play a round at the last minute. BGC is a nice course, staff is friendly, play was at a nice pace. Good course to play, some nice short holes as well as some nice long holes. We had fun challenging each other as brothers do!
This course is not and probably never will be, well maintained. But, with that being said, the course has some interesting and challenging holes and is fun to play occasionally. Rates are reasonable so go for it!

Donald Ross Municipal Gold Course
This course is challenging, but fun. It's one of the flattest courses I've ever played. Most of the greens are elevated in true Donald Ross fashion. I played it in the winter so the Bermuda grass was dormant, resulting in some pretty tight lies. The greens were in excellent shape.
If you are a fan of Donald Ross designs, then this one is worth a look. And the cost is inexpensive (weekday greens fees + cart was less than $30).

Met friends from west coast. Good half way point. Friendly staff. Convenient eady going golf. No frills, just fun. Good value. Wiil br back
