Boca Greens Country Club
About
Boca Greens Country Club is like most Florida golf courses in that it has a rather flat landscape with plenty of water, but it stand out for its scenic views and challenging but player-friendly layout designed by Joe Lee. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course and there are also numerous strategically placed bunkers to contend with, but these difficult elements are nicely balanced by ample room off of the fairways. One of the trickier holes is the par-5 17th, which is almost completely surrounded by water. The layout has a few challenging holes but overall a range of skill levels can play the golf course. There are also five sets of tees to make it even more approachable. Boca Greens C.C. boasts an enjoyable and fair round that is one of the area's best values.

Groundskeeping needed ASAP
The course is in very rough shape. The fairways have many dead spots, and spots just full of sand instead of actual grass. The tee boxes are exactly the same. Dead grass and sand. The greens though have it all. Sand littered over the greens, dead areas, and very unevenly grown grass. Sinking a putt would be mostly luck, as there is little to no way to read the greens with all the hazards. The sand will easily trap your ball too, so if you don’t fly off the green hitting a dead patch of grass, then your ball just dies right then and there again.
A Disaster
I've played over 1.000 different courses and this may be one of the worst conditions I've seen. Dead Fairways, Dirt tees, craters on greens. I wont be surprised if it closes soon.
BRUTAL NEGLECT
BRUTAL NEGLECT !!!!................Or to rephrase NEGLECTFULLY BRUTAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!.........Greens , fairways , tee boxes !!!! in horrific shape !!!!!!!! This entire course should be played as "GROUND UNDER REPAIR!".........OUCH !!!!!!!!
Terrible greens, very poor conditions of golf course
Horrible green conditions fairways and overall condition of the course. Would not golf there again. Was not worth the price
Terrible course conditions
The overall conditions were terrible, tee boxes, fairways and greens were sandy very little grass.
I wouldn’t play here again.
What a disaster
Let me start this review with the caveat that I was told after I finish the rounds, but the course had been sold in the past months.
Right now this course is unplayable. The greens apparently got a fungus disease and are totally destroyed and need to be rebuilt. It’s like putting on concrete with sand and literally no grasp whatsoever in paragraph the course is suffering from overall a lack of watering and care.
The tea boxes are dirt or overgrown with clover.
So this is an old probably 1990s design through a neighborhood. It’s actually a very good layout that just needs a new ownership to put some money into the course.
My advice is stay away from this place until 2027 and just continue to read reviews paragraph until then you’ll be angry at yourself for wasting even the $30 that we paid to play.
I want to give kudos to the staff who were there who were very honest with us as to what’s going on. I want to thank the beautiful blonde who works there for all her help. You’re really a gem.
AWFUL
Worst greens I’ve ever played on. Most of the fairways are barren and sandy. And the sand traps are full of gravel, disguised by some sand.
Too bad because the course layout is decent. I suspect that at one time it was a pretty good course - but not anymore.
And to add insult to injury there was a horrible smell of raw sewage on one of the holes on the back nine- which made us want to skip the tee shot and get away quickly.
On the positive side, it’s cheap.
Disappointing Experience
Can't remember a golf course in worst shape. Left after playng 9 holes. Greens were in bad shape with sections of sand and weeds. One sand trap had so much water in it, I couldn't find my ball after it splashed into it. The Starter and Pro Shop gentlemen were nice and helpful. Note: the Pro Shop has few items to sell
Layout of the course was fine. Pace of play was great as the course was basically devoid of golfers when we played.
Not Up To Par
The course is in horrendous condition. Tees, fairways and greens are dying. There is more dirt than grass.. greens are half dead, bumpy and unputtable. Hopefully they can turn it around.
Worst golf Club ever
This golf club should be closed. What a bad experience and a waste of money! The fairways are full of dirt, no grass at all; the greens are full of spots without any grass and lot of sand… there is more sand on the greens than in the bunkers. After 3 holes, we were so disappointed, we were ready to leave. The bagboy told me there is a new owner and he intends to eventually invest money… we will never come back.
Pro shop courtesy
The pro shop did me a solid favor and I appreciated it very much
Horrible Greens
I hope this course is being rehabilitated. The greens are horrible! I was unsure where the green started or ended. Shame...
Bury the Dead, they stink up the place...
Overall fun day... I mean, golfing so... Two really negative comments. 1) the greens were in terrible shape. Really Bad. 2) There were dead iguanas all over the course and the smell of their rotting corpses was beyond horrific. Its been approximately 3 weeks since temps dropped and a bunch of iguanas froze and died... Leaving them around for 3 weeks is absurd. The only ones happy about this were the turkey vultures.
