Branson Hills Golf Club

The course is difficult but fair (no unreasonable forced carries). Quite a few elevated tees provide a visual beauty that is superb. All aspects in wonderful condition; tees, fairways and greens, which were moderately fast.

This is a wonderful course, worth the money. I called it somewhat challenging only because there are some difficult holes but I wouldn't say extremely difficult. Most holes are somewhat forgiving because of the layout of the fairways. If you hit off to the side, because of the slope it will roll back into the fairway. Now if you hit it way off to the side, lots of luck finding it, but rest assured your ball isn't the only one out there! The views are fantastic. The par 3's are especially beautiful and challenging but not that difficult where you can't walk away with a par or bogey and feel good about it. The only bad thing we encountered was when we got stuck behind a slow 4 some and they would not let anyone to play through, you simply had to skip a hole to get around them. (we were a 2 some) The 2 ahead of us did this, we did it and the 4 some behind us went around them also. I suppose this is not the courses fault, but it didn't matter, this is too beautiful a course to let that bother us. All told I would definitely recommend this course even if you are a high handicapper - its worth it .I am a 17 handicap and my wife is a 25 and we both loved it and will be back. To play a course like this sometimes brings out the best in you. Can't comment on the bar or grill as we got done too late to try them out, next time we will get out earlier so we can grab a sandwich when we finish. Unless you are training for the Olympics, I couldn't imagine walking this course. Played here 2 times this week. The 2nd time we were paired with a couple from Colorado. We had a wonderful time. That’s the thing about golf, (playing away from home) you get to meet new people of all different skill levels. We love to play different courses and this one will bring us back again! My only suggestion – GPS on the carts would be a big bonus. Wouldn’t have to waste time looking for a sprinkler head for yardage. Would have rated course conditions excellent except for all the ball marks on the greens. A shame so many don't repair their ball marks! Was a little surprised that a course of this quality & price didn't have GPS on the carts. Enjoyed my playing partners and the overall experience. Will play again.

We play a number of fine courses and this was in the tip tier. Great views and very demanding shot making. Played the silver tees with and 10 HC and really enjoyed the course. A must play course.

Beautiful course though tough with the forced carries uphill.

Starting your visit off having to deal with the guy in the pro shop that acts like you are messing up his day, kinda sets the tone for the day. The course layout is great, fairways nice, but a course that likes to post all its awards and such need to spend some of their over priced greens fees on and around the greens, very disappointed with the lack of maintenance.

A fun challenging course that was in great shape! Not a course for a high handicap golfer. Greens are very challenging to read lots of elevation changes all over the course.My only complaints no beverage cart out and twilight price still pretty expensive

I've played this course a lot and would recommend it to anyone visiting Branson. It has great views and is challenging.

Unbelievable scenery at this course, outstanding staff! Played in really wet conditions but course handles water really well. Only complaint is group ahead of us played very slowly and kept us and the group behind us waiting all day, but then again we had more time to evaluate our next shot so it wasn't the worse thing in the world! Will most definitely play again!

I have wanted to play what used to be known as the Payne Stewart Golf Course in Branson for a few years. I finally got to play this past July 5th. It is a beautiful golf course not made for beginner golfers but for golfers that are above average in their playing abilities. You had to hit the ball into the right locations. Greens were firm and fast but fair. Fairways had excellent grass allowing balls to sit up on top of the grass. The course is long but can be adjusted by hitting from forward tees. It is a championship course as it will challenge the best players as all areas of a person's game will be challenged. If you want to play a great course and are not afraid of a challenge plus want to see some very beautiful golf holes, go play the now named Branson Hills Golf Course in Branson.

There was no customer service at all. No one to take your bags at bag drop off, had to get our own cart, no one to clean our clubs after play. Also was cart path only and it's very hilly and no yardage markers in paths to know which clubs to take. Very disappointing for what we had to pay!

Great layout. Fairways were soggy due to heavy rains. Fantastic views. A must play course in Southern Missouri.

FANTASTIC course. Had a great time with many holes that would be signature holes elsewhere.

The course is beautiful with rolling hills and tight fairways. The staff is attentive and polite. My son and I had a construction crew follow us for four holes and run a concrete saw which took away from the experience. Mowers continued to mow while we were on the tee boxes, and twice the green side sprinklers were turned on while we were approaching them- the grounds person just shrugged his shoulders and said sorry- they are turning colors on me- if it were not for the discounted price we would have asked for a refund on hole five when the concrete saw showed up

Each hole has a copper sign with an anecdote from Payne Stewart's career. The attempts to make the anecdotes relevant to the hole being played are lame at best.

Plenty of forced carries off the tee and penal rough make this a challenging course. Greens were in good condition but tough to read at times. Course had a rural feel as houses were scarce.

My driver was working well. You need to be in play, plenty of danger off the grass. They had just gotten a lot of rain and it had some very wet spots (mostly near the drains). Greens were true and consistent. Had a great time and the staff was mostly very friendly.
