Blackwood Golf Centre - Hamilton

First time playing this course and have to say I really enjoyed it

Given how much rain there’s been, the course was in great condition and greens rolling well for the most part

Only managed to get 14 holes in before dark but enjoyed the layout- varied par 3s and 5s with some strategic par 4s with water in play on quite a few holes.

Will definitely be back in the drier months to play all 18- but for £13 it was hard to beat

Lovely course, considering the heavy rain, well drained.

Some challenging holes, started at 1.10/1.15 didn't get finished before it got dark at 4.50pm.

Very frustrating, 4 ball ahead of us, just didn't know how to play, but I still had to pay for 18 holes.

I'll be back if the club gets a course ranger, otherwise no.

Good course layout and the majority of the course in great condition. Some holes had soft ground after recent rain. Pace of play was slow but enjoyable. Staff were friendly. And enjoyable round.

My first time playing here and I was not disappointed. Am a member elsewhere and can safely say this ia a much better course, and the value for money is undeniable. Facilities are great with nice putting area and bar overlooking. Driving range is great too. Greens were in lovely condition and are a decent size so great target. Tee boxes level and smartly set up! Feels like a much more exclusive place. Some fantastic holes and water hazards are the icing on the cake.

Will be looking to join for sure as soon as possible!!! 5 stars all day long.

Course is set within beautiful grounds and is well laid out. Very well maintained also.

Really good order and the greens and fairways well cut you don't want to miss the fairways as the rough is harder to get out off. A great course and will be happy to recommend it

Lovely well kept course and great fun to play with plenty of features. My only complaint was difficulty in finding the next hole as there were no signs.

Very enjoyable other than the four ball not letting singles through to ease the congestion, we let two singles through and the four ball in front wouldn’t have the decency to let them play through holding up the pace. Greenskeepers just fly about with the AirPods on stopping at the putting green cart revving away not even doing noting on that hole, then leave after you hit. No point. Other than them two things great day very enjoyable, ps more bins needed on the course

Course in good condition considering the weather the last few months. Great challenge both times I’ve played in winter conditions 1st in March then in December. Back 9 from last week time is now the front 9 and the score cards need updated to reflect this. Toptracer range to warm up is what every course needs.

I found this course in terrible condition. Really wet underfoot in fact I slipped on 2 occasions and that was with wearing plastic spike's. Tee boxes greens or fairway had not been cut for at least a week and pace of play was so slow took me just short of 4 hours for the round on my own. Won't be rushing back.

Shocking way to plan a day's tee times first time playing at the course to arrive 4 deep at the first tee. Tee off 24 minutes after our tee time was not a great start to follow groups of slow play took just over 1 hour 30 minutes to play 4 holes had to walk off the course with no way of getting our money back I would take them off this app the guy in the pro shop couldn't find my booking at first then asked if I was playing on my own when I had booked for 2 people won't be back and would tell people to stay clear on a good day
