Great course for beginners plenty of open fairways, very hard to lose a ball.
Lovely course
Very good value when booked with golfnow app. Course was immaculate and local players very friendly.
Helen's bay golf course
Absolutely fantastic course. Super greens and fairways s pleaser to hit and putt on. Tee boxs in excellent condition, and with only being s nine holes the tees were varied. Lovely views over the Lough and Helen's bay. No par 5s, club house vary dated and needs refurbished. Layout was good. Never got lost. Not a difficult course but with small fast greens you got to make sure your short game is on song. Very few on course amenities just a putting green, would need a driving net, etc. All in all an excellent experience and I will certainly be back.
Excellent course
Third of fourth time round this course, always enjoy it! Still a beginner and 9 times out of ten ul find your ball. Course has some great holes and greens protected by bunkers. Get you clubs and get booked in this course will do any players game a bit of good. Would consider joining only the course is only 9holes but dont let that put you off booking
Lovely little course
Helen's Bay is a lovely little course, I thoroughly enjoyed playing it - it's not long by any means and nicely forgiving but if you want to get out for a quick 9 or 18 holes, I recommend it.
Beautiful and friendly.
Fantastic little coastline course with great views and well manicured. Staff are helpful and friendly and very welcoming! A little gem and great value. A must play!
fantastic day the course was in great condition the surroundings and scenery were beautiful will be back
Beautiful coastal setting
We played this course during a very hot spell, when there was a country wide hose pipe ban, and whilst the fairways in places were quite hard & brown in colour (not surprisingly), the greens were in fantastic condition. Having just taken golf up in the last few years, I thoroughly enjoyed playing Helen's Bay - fairways are reasonably wide (which suited me!!), and the views are brilliant.Hope to play the course again, soon.
Lovely little course
Compact but well laid out course in great condition. No par 5s but don't let that put you off. Some brilliant tee shots. Very nice course and well worth a visit.
Helen's Bay
Played on a Sunday and the course was relatively quiet. Tight 9 hole course with great views over Belfast Lough.
The course itself was in great condition. Not too difficult off the tee but plenty of green side bunkers that make things interesting, I should know, I found most of them on my way round.
Definitely recommend playing here
Stunning little course
Great 9 holes of golf. Course is in immaculate condition. Nice touch that the tee positions change completely on the back 9. Not massively long but long enough to be a good test. Well protected greens. If you've not played it before go and play it.
An unknown gem
Course in great condition,it's November ,and greens were excellent, staff were more than friendly and helpful ,,,,a hidden gem
Helens bay
9 hole course looking on to belfast Locke..a wee pleasure to play and not to taxing on the legs ..holes 2 and 3 a five is good ...the other holes should b par to a half decent player ...signature hole is the 15th from the high tee box overlooking
Helensbay beach which is probably the best view on the course.. staff are friendly in the 19th and the Guinness is well worth waiting on when sorting the cards out at the end...pleasure and easy day out.
Good for medium and high handicappers
A 9 hole course with 3 holes a bit of a stretch but otherwise relatively short and straightforward with a reasonable amount of hazards but hard to lose a ball. A couple of hills and a good view right at the sea makes it pleasant and it's well kept and reasonably priced .
