Helen's Bay Golf Club

When we arrived at the course there will little signs of life about the facility there was a few juniors on the course playing what I can only describe as poor golf . There were 2 groups of four with no course etiquette messing around . My friend and I where held up by over 2 1/2 hours to play 9 holes . We where able to play the back 9 in only only an hour . The course had no pro shop open tried the office to no avail . No scorecard . No amenities .will be back to play in a few weeks as part of a society outing I would like to think the shop will be open . Other than these things the course was in fantastic condition.

Heavy rain in morning but course held up well. Greens were fine too.

Great course. Good wide fairways. Quick greens. Lots of up and down slopes.

Lovely inoffensive 9 hole course. Not an overly difficult course which is great if you need a bit of confidence. No par 5 but that's just fine. Quite often play this on a Sunday morning which is a nice way to end the weekend.

Helen’s Bay is well situated, with views over Belfast Lough and the Irish Sea. The course itself isn’t long, and it is definitely hilly. The layout was challenging without being punishing. I played 9 holes, but to play 18 it would be the same course with some holes having different tee boxes. I’d recommend just playing 9. Overall it was a good course, and I will certainly be back when I’m looking to play a quick 9.

Great setting and lovely course. A lot of GUR atm but should get sorted when it fully drys out. Pity its only a 9 hole

A great 9 hole course with dual tee box’s. We tee’d off pretty early so there was some morning dew still on the greens but once the green keepers had that cleared the greens were superb. The fairways were soft in places and a few GUR spots on the first. Defiantly worth the visit for the views alone

Second time playing Helen’s bay.

Course had been closed day before due to rain but was still in excellent condition all things considered.

Front 9 we flew round as a 2 ball, back 9 there were a few older golfers who just don’t seem to let anyone through regardless of the course but still a great day out.

Best thing about the course bar a couple tricky long par 4s is definitely the views, if you haven’t played Helen’s bay before- it’s definitely worth a visit.

A straightforward course close to where we were staying and exactly the test my wife as a golfing novice needed .

Super little 9hole. Really well kept. Very friendly staff. Tight and tricky greens, perfect.
