Nice course, everything else not so nice.
First time playing here, I went to check in and couldn’t find anyone. Finally found someone on the restaurant who basically told us just to go on, but we had no score cards, they had no trolleys for our bags, Teed off late because of this. I’ve never had this problem on any other course, apart from this the course itself was lovely with some nice views. Just personally think they could have been more welcoming or a better set up to check in.
Greenisland
1st time playing greenisland and I enjoyed it, some holes had a lot of drainage channels with a lot of sand on the fairway
It is a very hilly course so if your not that mobile hire a buggy!
Wed a 3 ball and got round in 4 20 mins 4 ball in front of us where a bit slow but everyone has to learn!
GGC Review
Great course for the money, lovely views and a good challenge
Great course
Alot of walking but in good weather it's a great course for the price.
Hilly but well looked after course
A little wet but played much worse great testing course for all standar of players will be back soon
Sand everywhere
Sand everywhere tee boxes fairways and on greens as soon as you try to put the sand sticks to your ball so no chance of making the put
Tough but pretty
I played this course 13 years ago before this most recent time. I'm a 41yr old carrying a bit of weight. This course is stunning and the greens are in sensational condition. It's a tough course on its own but factor in quite a few holes require you to climb up some steep hills to greens or tee boxes and you end up with a really tough course. Some sensational views of belfast lough make all.the climbing worth it though. I'll be back again for sure.
Not very Accommodating
Didn’t receive scorecards, went to check in at “the bar”. No one checked our reservation or even pointed us in the right direction. Quite a nice course but not very helpful with any information for new golfers.
Great 9-hole course
Course was in great condition especially the greens, fun and challenging layout, nice cafe in the clubhouse, great value for money
Average golfer
I used to play here occasionally , surprised the lady in club house recognised me. Good welcome, felt we had the course to ourselves. Can see the investment with news paths around course. Some fairways little beaten up but greens were great. Really enjoyed it.
Tee times too close for 9 hole course
Held up by competition waited 20 mins each on first and 3rd holes due to poor pace of play and eventually gave up playing, not worth the money at all for 18 holes
Worst course ive ever played
Been to multiple course around northern ireland and this has to be the worst maintained course ive been to, lost multiple balls on the fairway as the ball just sunk under the ground plus massive tractor tyre marks left on the fairways some of the other fairways the grass was aslong as the rough and some of the greens where flooded with water and holes,
Cracking 9 holes!
Really nice day out. Brilliant views of Belfast Lough, with Carrickfergus castle to the left and the Mournes to the right. The first hole is a bit of a leg burner but after that it’s not bad. A few testing dog-legs and a very short par 3. Very friendly family atmosphere and members very friendly. Nice round of golf.
