Southwinds Golf Course
About
Situated just minutes from the Gold Coast beaches in the heart of Boca Raton, Southwinds Golf Course enjoys warm ocean breezes and lush vegetation. Water is a prominent presence throughout the course. Water hazards come into play on 16 holes. There are also mature trees throughout that will play a deciding role in shaping your shots. The golf course offers some enjoyably difficult holes but overall the challenges are manageable. Each hole is unique offering everything from opportunities to "grip it and rip it" and others that are defined by trees and lakes. The golf course finishes with one of its many water holes but on this par 4, you have to hit over water twice. In addition to the golf course, Southwinds also offers a driving range a putting green with a practice bunker.

nice golf good price
As a woman golfer i love it , the layout is nice the par 3 had good lenght.
Very nice. Would return.
Great course with a variety of play. Alot of water holes, some which required laying up decisions. Bunkers are well kept as are the greens. Nice contours on the greens to challenge the putt. Their range is nice as well, for pre- play warm ups. Includes a chipping range with bunkers to practice and a very large practice putting green with several contours. At the end, staff wipes down all your clubs. And it is a public course. Great time.
Average differculty and a lot of fun.
Staff is friendly. Course is in very good condition. Greens are very fast. Lots of water and some deep bunkers. Pace is a little slow for my liking. Still a lot of fun playing here. If you book through golf now, good value for your money.
Southwinds
Greens were in super condition
Faster and smoother than Boca muni
Play it from the back tees and it is a good challenge
Golfnow rocked it with a green fee under 20$
Nice Change
The course was well maintained and the greens rolled fast and true. Cart paths from tee to green on every hole and it really helped the turf condition. This is a nice course that is well maintained by PBC. Will not hesitate to play there again.
I like the present condition of the greens
The course is apparently easy, however bring extra balls and an extension to pick them up from the strategically located water hazards.
Good when you have a discount price.
Only issue is with the starter even there was nobody on the 1st tee up he didn't want us to start 15 minutes before our tee time.
Starter let us feel that because we paid less with Golfnow we are a second class clients.
Course is in great shape!
I showed up not really knowing what to expect from this course because of the low price. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff that started at the bag drop off. Went into the proshop to check in and was impressed with size and selection of it. The starter Bob was great and helped us get a lay of the course. The course itself was in fantastic shape. Lots of water, I believe on 8 or 9 of the 18 holes. Not overly difficult but fun to play. I believe I found a new regular course with Southwinds.
A course that tests your course management
Some courses you can swing wildly and have fun, this course challenged my course management and club selection and I still had fun. Having not played the course before, I can honestly say it was really satisfying after 18 holes and well worth the visit. Looking forward already to playing the course again sometime.
Good value
We'll maintained. Several tee boxes need to be upgraded
Just the right amount of water and sand
I played at 10:30 Saturday and the pace was quick. Greens were in good shape and the cart paths have been replaced and are very smooth.
very slow pace of play
do to pace of play and mngmt doing nothing to speed up slow groups i wont play this course again
Excellent local course!
Conditions comparable to resort courses I have played elsewhere for three times the price. Great 19th hole facility with
cheery staff and great deals on food and drinks. I've played it
since it was the Hamptons and it has never been better!
Solid value for the money
Good public course that is playable from the tips for those that can drive the ball 235-250+. Adequately maintained.
Off fairway impossible to find ball
I would not play this course again. If you missed the fairway by just a few feet it was very difficult or impossible to find your ball.
The condition of the tees, fairways and greens were in very good condition.
Really sorry I had this problem. I mentioned this to a staff member and they concurred with me.
Short course. Hit it straight.
SW's is a short par 70. However it is not a wide open layout. If you spray the ball you will find water on 16 holes and you don't get to miss hit it into a neighboring fairway either. This course is more for the shot maker than the hit-it-miles golfer. Greens were recently aerated, but are usually in very good shape. 9 holes are on a street or house line so not a beautiful rural setting. A low Golfnow rate makes it ok.
Good Course To Test Your Straight Shot
This is a good course to play if you're a straight shooter. It's not too difficult if you can keep your ball in the fairways. Although the course is not long, lots of water keep you cautious and honest with your tee shots. Its a bit challenging that the first hole is the #1 handicap hole, but once you get past that rough start you can get on a roll before you hit the next challenging hole. Enjoyed playing here and would do so again.
Very Friendly Staff
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course in good shape. Lots of water. I would certainly play again.
LOL! That is why this course is great! It forces you to play well. The course is excellent and if you cannot find your ball in rough, try yellow or orange optic balls, it worked for me
In this course ;)
