Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Beautiful Course!
This golf course was super nice. My friend & I got a hot deal so price wasn’t bad at all. I will definitely be going back!
great course
Very well staffed very well-maintained great layout great greens plus you get a complementary breakfast and lunch with a free beer got a love it
Most miserable round of my life
3 hours to play the front 9 is uncalled for. Every tee had 2 groups waiting to tee off. I’m not even completing my round. Great job on taking my 45 bucks for 9 holes
Awesome
my favorite local course the greens are immaculate very fair you hit the ball well you're going to score
First time player
Course was very nice, fast greens, slow fairways due to heavy rains the prior few days which dictated cart path only play and that made for a very long day.
Great day at Eagle Landing
Course in great shape. Pace of play was excellent. Will be back to play again.
Course great...personnel, cluless
Just go for the course and don't expect a Premium Experience. Not all...but most of the staff have no idea what that means. They are too consumed with texting.
Young lady on the beverage cart was on point!
My favorite course
I love everything about this course. Fastest greens in the area.
Love this place
Even though the greens were aerated just a week and a half ago, they still played fast and smooth. One putt got knocked off line because of an aeration hole, no big deal. Had the course to ourselves as it was a Monday. Shot a 78, and that was with a double bogey on #17 that was utterly preventable. Had a great time and a good deal from GolfNow.
Not a Jax top 10
Course layout and maintenance was amazing. Staff was horrible. Never to return. Too many courses in Jax to settle for the horrible golf pro and counter boy.
The rudest staff ever!!
It started at our check in, the guy at the register was extremely rude because we were a few minutes late. Our fault but his attitude and how he talked down to us was extremely disturbing. Then the starter had an attitude and we started to think,”what’s going on here?” You all of a sudden started thinking they were some snobby country club. Then to make matters worse, a ranger kept interrupting our game to inform us we were 9 minutes behind, but no one was behind us. After the second time, we finally told him to stop interrupting our game every other hole, and we wouldn’t be behind! He literally stopped our game and wasted 5 minutes telling us that each time! Then the fact that they wouldn’t let you stop at the clubhouse at the turn! Actually said “forbidden” that day!! This was ridiculous and as nice as the course is, the staff RUINED the experience for our group! NEVER EVER PLAY THIS COURSE!!
Staff put on a great outing...Clay County Chamber of Commerce
The young men who handled the bag drop handled things quite well.
The course was in good shape.
Some of the greens were a little thin as they are coming into summer grass.
Driving range seemed to be under construction...not a lot of grass on the big tee box.
Great venue for a large group outing.
$$
Good on hot deal but wouldn’t pay their full price. Greens run fast which was a nice challenge. Staff inside was great but old grouchy starter rushed us off putting area to the tee 20 minutes before our tee time
Great, challenging course
Great course that challenges you in club selection. Greens have deceptive break that requires paying attention to your line and speed. The edges of the greens are starting to show some problems and the course better address them before it invades the entire green and makes them problematic for top play.
Starter/Ranger problems
Starter seems to get to pick and choose who gets paired up to a foursome all while letting multiple twosomes go. Ranger was called by the twosome behind us and made us let them pass, even though we were held up by a group ahead. Added 30 minutes to our round.
Course is in great shape and this is the first time we’ve had any problems - but the pace of play was managed poorly and it was clear exceptions are made for certain people.
World Golf Village Stay & Play Package
Don
As a regular of Eagle Landing, I believe you are tell a bit of a story here. I play a lot of golf and find it sad more courses don’t have rangers. Pace of play is a huge problem in golf. So you know it’s never the player to worry of the group behind them. You are supposed to keep with the group in front. Staff should never be rude! But play fast and show up 30 minutes before your tee time or call the course and let them know you’re going to be late. Going to the internet to bash a great place with great staff because you are inconsiderate of the facility and it’s policies is a little ridiculous. Give the place another try and I’m sure you’ll come to love it as I have!
