Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

5hrs and 45 minutes
Took 5 hrs and 45 minutes to finish 18.... the course was in nice condition, but I think that’s the longest I’ve ever had to wait behind people.
Best Local Hot Deal
Played Eagle Landing on a great sunny day mainly because we were able to grab a fantastic Hot Deal price for a 1 PM Wednesday tee time. The course was very busy and carts were not available until 10 minutes to tee off. Notwithstanding, play moved okay with minor wait times between holes. The greens were in excellent shape, challenging and fast. The entire golf course in clean, very well maintained and very scenic given the urban location. Afterwards, the club house has a nice bar/table area that offers a choice happy hour. Will definitely return as weather conditions improve.
Worst greens I've ever played
Played the front 9 late in the day...first time there. The course is nice...nice layout and challenging (windy day). Staff was friendly. Fairways and tees were ok, not great.
Worst greens I've ever played in Jacksonville. I realize it's winter, but between the weird matted down grass and the green sand/paint, it was like putting on mini-golf carpet...but worse. Terrible greens.
Side note: $30 for 18 and $25 for 9 at 4:00pm. I hate pricing like that. With the current course conditions, hey should consider bumping that down to 15/10.
Always play their the only problem is that when you make the turn the clubhouse is very slow and getting you order or getting drinks we have let two groups go in front of us
Poor pace of play
Too many groups backed up. Don’t think it was just one slow group either. Usually had to wait with the group ahead of us on the tee on most holes. Took 5 hours to play 16.5 holes before we had to leave for a prior engagement.
Awesome Layout!
I really enjoyed all aspects of this course. Love the layout. Fairways, tee boxes and greens are all in great shape. Forgiving fairways with fast greens that roll true and smooth. The staff was very helpful and courteous. One of the best in the area that I have played so far. I will definitely be back again and again. Hats off to the superintendent and his crew!
Eagle Landing a great day of golf
I have played this course numerous times, and it is a go to course. Always in great shape, courteous staff, and great amenities
RS
The course is always in great shape, just hate being pushed by the rangers and starters. We made the turn and were told that we were 20 min behind pace, told the starter that we were on the 4-somes butt in front of us the enitire front 9 (we were a 2-some) and we were told “like every one else says”. Even after stoping for drinks, we were still on their butt 2 holes later. Let people play golf and enjoy them self’s.
Eagle Landing well worth the money!
My second time playing this course, Great value.
Course is well maintained, staff are very efficient.
Pull in bags on cart, off to the range.
Definitely thinking about relocating to this community.
Great Condition
Been playing the course several weeks now. Fairways and rough in very good condition. Greens getting better after aeration several months ago. Playing partner even compared it to Slammer and Squire.
Outstanding
Course is in excellent condition. Plush fairways, well-groomed first cut and rough, and fast smooth greens...... what more could you ask? Good pace of play and our round was less than 4 hours. Staff was friendly and helpful..... bottom line is I can't wait to play here again....
The course was challenging and fair. Fairways were in great condition. Ruff was very fair and excellent shape,. Greens held well, fast and smooth. I would strongly recommend to play this course.
Late rain
Great course layout. I enjoy playing but the staff is probably the worse in the North Florida area.but I will keep coming because I like the course.
slow play
Loved the course. Fairways and greens excellent.Could only complete 13 holes
(3 1/2 hrs)
Played be hind foursome and a group of six.
Ranger was no help after we advised of the slow play.
Wet and wild
Course was in good shape after raining for the last few days. Cart path only on 1,7,11 and 15.. rain came late in round. Had a good time other than some rude staff members.
