Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Call the pro shop FIRST
I've played EL many times and it's a really good deal and a very nice layout. However, yesterday I used GolfNow to book a Saturday 3:08 tee time for my bother's b-day. When we got there 40 minutes before our tee time, we checked in with the starter... he told us that at 3:00 a social-mixer shotgun scramble was to use the first six holes. We were stuck and it took us 2.5 hours to play nine. CALL the PRO SHOP first and ask if there are any scheduled events being held.
wonderful day great course
this course has always been my favorite layout in great condition for this time of year. enjoyed!
Excellent course and value!
Had a great time playing here while working in Jacksonville for the weekend. Definitely playing here again the next time I am down.
My Favorite course!!
Eagle Landing has always been my favorite course in Jacksonville by far. The fairways and green's were in fantastic shape and I love the hole layout of this course.
The course is the best deal for the price
This is my course of choice when I decide to play without question
Each hole becomes a new challenge unlike the one before
This was my second time playing the course.Played it a month ago and couldnt wait to get back. The all inclusive lunch was amazing great food. And the course even though my friend and I played it from the back tees the course was very fair and didnt play as long as the yardage stated. The green complexes where in great shape and tee boxes where as well.My only gripe was the state the driving range was in.Very beat up from all the over use and not moving the teeing area around enough. But the short game area though small was efficient. And the putting green was very smooth with all the putts we would face ,sidehill, downhill, right to left, left to right.I will come back as much as i can.I live in St.Augustine and would be a member if not for the long drive.
Great As Usual
Play here whenever I visit Jax. One of my favorite courses, especially with a GolfNow deal. Greens are great and consistently fast. Busy course but they work hard to keep play moving. Highly recommended.
Cart path only but a fun round
Big rain overnight but course conditions were very good. We were a twosome and although not pressing a 4 ahead, they waited at a par 3 to let us through. Nice.
Great Course
I just moved down the street from the course and I could not be happier to call this my new home course. The course is in great shape and has a great layout. It was my friends first timing playing this course and he was very impressed. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a great course.
Slow play
Morning golfers started on 10, when making turn the starter put groups in between the after noon golfers making our round 5 he's and we were a 2 some.Everyone should go off 10 if that is how the course starts everyone off 10.
Fun. But brown.
It's January in Florida. Most courses that are worth playing with Bermuda fairways will take the time, effort and money to overseed the fairways as to not make you feel like you're playing golf on the moon. Not the case here. So while I liked the course, I have to somewhat reserve judgement until I can play it under better conditions. I will say that the greens were in really good shape. They still showed sign of being punched late in the season but they rolled very true and were really nice to putt on. It's a great deal to get a round of golf, breakfast and lunch and a couple of beers for a very reasonable price! I will come back. I just hope for green fairways when I get there!
Excellent course
Enjoyed playing at this course located in SW area of town. Greens were in great condition for winter time and found lots of undulating greens and challenge on each hole. I just wish the course was not so far away to get to from the beaches being so far west and south. It is worth the drive though.
I think Eagle Landing is by far the best value in Jax golf. Love the greens, and the rest of the course is in great shape too. Excellent layout, especially holes 11-14. I would love to be a member out here but it’s sinply too far from my house. The one downside is that the range doesn’t have much grass on it; I think the “all you can hit range ball” packages have probably taken their toll. All in all, I would highly recommend playing out here.
Good condition
Overall in good shape. Greens were fast so here putts were not uncommon. Waiter not friendly in the clubhouse. Good deal with meals and golf included.
