Eagle Landing Golf Club

The actual course was in good shape like it usually is. a few tee boxes from the back were a little bare, but course wise that would be my only complaint. fairways, rough, bunkers were just fine and the greens continue to be some of the best in Jacksonville in my opinion. The marshal did his best to try and ruin a fun round for us, as I can see he did for a few others writing reviews. It got real old after the third time he stopped us and told us to keep pace with the rate of play card they put in the carts. Considering we waited on the group in front of us for 3+ minutes on basically every shot on the back 9, and we didn't see the group behind us after 11. And it was all done in a disrespectful manner. But besides that poor old man who was trying too hard, we had a good time and enjoyed the condition of the course.

Overall the course is in great shape. Great value! I'd play it again.

Nice course, greens kept up very well not to mention you get 2 free beers and lunch included with your purchase so that's always a nice plus

I know that Eagle Landing was recently purchased by the HOA or residents or however it went down. Since then the staff has been increasingly not great let's just say that. The ranger was downright rude. Course was crowded. No problem. However we were hassled by him 3 times. The group behind us was just arriving to the tee boxes while we're on the greens (par 4s). Finally we called the pro shop to complain and received no help. Guy was a jerk and should be fired. Also the poor cart girl had no service cart. All of it was crammed on a reg cart making her job very tough. Get it together Eagle Landing. First you chop down the church pews and now all this? That being said the course looked and played great like it always has. So I've got that going for me.....8-)

A gorgeous 18 holes of golf in the middle of a mature pine forest. Serene. This is the one to play on a visit to Jacksonville.

Had a great time with three friends. Course is in VERY good condition, especially the fairways. Greens are slowing a touch as the weather warms; in nice condition also.

Many kudos to the grounds crew - they have kept conditions excellent despite very low rainfall. Much appreciated!

My wife needed to be in Jacksonville for some CE credits, so I thought I'd tag along and play a round of golf somewhere other than the home course. I googled courses in the Jacksonville area and came upon Eagle Landing, checked it on Golf Now and lucked out with a mid morning tee time. When I checked in on the course, I was grouped in with a friendly threesome and was also given a card that entitled me to a free breakfast, I choose biscuits and gravy. It also included two pint drafts of beer after the round and lunch, from hot dogs to chicken salads or sandwiches. I couldn't believe it.

The course had a nice range and putting and chipping areas. Multiple tee boxes allowed novice to advanced players a fair game. There was a nice mix of straightaway fairways and doglegs and large landing areas. Greens were a little bit slow and sometimes bumpy due to some small aeration holes that were just about closed up. The contour of the course was flat with tall tree lines in the background that made all the greens look closer than they actually were, so I would recommend a yardage finder or watch. It was a hot day and the free beer at the end was a refreshing plus. Yes, i would play there again.

The course was in outstanding shape, an excellent value. Every aspect of the course - tees, fairways, greens and bunkers - was terrific. My lone complaint is that on many holes it's very hard to get a good yardage reading. I don't need a GPS, but stakes would be helpful as not all of the sprinkler heads had yard ages and the yardage plates (100, 150, 200) are hard to see at times.

As for off course amenities, the putting green was spacious, even with an outing getting ready to go out. The 19th hole was nice and the food was good.

Overall, it was an outstanding course, especially for the money.

I felt rushed the whole time I was playing. Our golf cart even got hit my a golf ball that someone else behind us hit. That was the only down fall.

A very challenging course to play for the intermediate golfer who doesn't hit very long shots. It has some forgiving holes that will be appreciated for the "directionally" challenged golfers. A very enjoyable course overall.

Wonderful golf course. Very playable even on scattered shots. Then a free hamburger and 2 beers or a soft drink. Don't know how they provide this value for a very low price.

If you are playing course for first time , you will need a rangefinder or GPS watch. Suggest you move up one tee box the first time. Will be more enjoyable.

This course appears to always be windy. It may be due to the location geographically, but this course is always pushing 15+ wind around on the course.

Gorgeous day outside, about 75º and sunny. Course is in great shape. Great fairways, solid greens and every teebox is spectacular.

They ran out of carts when we got there at 12:30 for a 1pm tee-time. We had to wait until 1:15 for a cart to become available. They told us this was normal for a Saturday and new carts had been ordered and were arriving in a few days, out cart also died on the 18th hole.

All in all this course is very well maintained and fun to play but the wind is always blowing hard in various directions.

I liked playing the course I am just confused if your going to give a military discount and only give $0.75 this is an insult you shouldn't even offer a discount. The course is a good course but please don't insult the military with a 75 cent discount had I know this I would not have booked it using a military rate.

nice course with some challenging holes. greens were in great shape. what I like is that the rangers keep the pace of play going. our foursome completed 18 in 4 hours despite very windy conditions.

loved course keeping the pace of play to 4 or less hours!!!!! other courses should follow their example!!!

After reading other reviews on this site, I was scared to play here. My game is off, this is a difficult course, and others complained about the Rangers and staff. Fears completely unjustified. Course was in great shape, although my game wasn't. However, staff and rangers couldn't have been nicer. We were politely told when we were behind and how to catch up. Customer service was fantastic from the Shop to the course. Practice facilities are top notch. I would compare this course to Queens Harbor, but at half the price. If you want a great golf experience, PLAY THIS COURSE.
