Located in the heart of southwest Florida, Spanish Well Golf & Country Club in Bonita Springs offers 27 holes of championship golf amidst towering stands of palms and pines. The holes are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The South/East Course combines the longest of the three nines. Water characterizes the golf course, coming into play on nearly every hole. There are also strategically placed bunkers and a few tricky doglegs to watch out for. The layout presents a challenging, but fair test. The golf course finishes with one of the club's prettiest holes, a par 4 with mature trees that run along the entire right side of the fairway until they reach the lateral water hazard. Past the bunkered green, the clubhouse and the colorful surrounding flowerbeds serve as the backdrop.

The south. Purse is very narrow and has a lot of water.. we found the north course to be more manageable.

Overall the course is fine to play. Some of the tee boxes need work and some of the bunkers were not groomed after golfers hit out of the sand. We were about 4:15 for 18 which is somewhat slow!
