Callahan Golf Links

Always enjoy the layout of this course. Course conditions were surprisingly good for this time of year (better than when I played in October). Having beautiful weather 2 days before Christmas certainly helped! Just a great day out there.

It was a cold start but got better during the afternoon. Got cold again last hour of play.

Pace of play was good as there were not that many golfers on the course.

Condition of course was about what was expected for this time of year.

Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Course had no rangers of marshals monitoring slow play. This particular day had first time golfers who took their time hitting and hacking the ball. It backed up the foursomes until someone called the pro shop to send someone out.

Course is in good shape through

Always a good round here. They're currently dealing with some chemical burns on some of their greens... it was a watering mishap... but they're working to fix them. They were upfront about these conditions, appreciate that. We just took a little relief from the burnt areas and used where thr green was ok and same distance.

Love the layout here. Makes me hit most clubs in my bag in a round.

About half of the greens are in pretty rough shape but still good course overall.

Great value with the golfnow rates.

Dry fairways + soft greens = 75.

The course is in good shape, even though the management put a disclaimer on the Golfnow app about the greens conditions; they are doing a good job in keeping the course in good shape!

Not sure what happened but there are serious bare spots popping up on most greens. They are putting out chemicals so this may be due to disease etc. They are also keeping the grass extra high which makes putting a chore. The tee boxes are spotty but playable. The rest of the course is in solid condition. The driving range is fine except for the complete lack of targets to aim at and the awful practice ball condition.

I live right down the road and play Lake Arrowhead and here quite often.. it might be a while until I play here again with the greens being in terrible shape. A shame.

I’ve played Callahan multiple times and this by far was the worse condition I’ve seen it in. Tee boxes were in bad shape and almost every green was eaten up and were very fuzzy. Also there was no water on the course whatsoever. The staff however were very friendly. The condition of the course should’ve had it at about $35-$40 and not $55. I won’t be back until these issues are addressed.

No Ranger to move patrons along. Twosome in front of threesome in front of us. Was hitting multiple balls every shot. Which in turn had foursome behind us (wife and I) very impatient.

I had not played Callahan Golf Links in a while. The greens were spotty in places, and some of the tee boxes are in desperate need of some sod. But it is always a fun course to play.

Course was in rough condition from the greens to the tee boxes!!!
