About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Cart path only
Cart path only which was fine as the course was wet and also repairs are ongoing.It would be nice if they put some yardage markers on the cart path and also informed you of pin placement as the black and red checkered pin flags do nothing to let you know front middle or back locations
Ongoing repairs to some of the tee boxes which is definitely needed but overall the course is in good condition and the staff at friendly.
Pace of play was great as there wasn’t many people playing due to the weather as some good golf etiquette shown to let people play through
Would recommend this course to anyone
Sleeper
Once we started, which was delayed, the course unfolded in very pleasant ways. From the road, the course looks quite bland. However, the designers maximized the land, and half of the holes are not visible from the entrance. Pleased with the conditions, and you can tell the maintenance crew is working hard to keep them nice. Pace was slow, but seemed unavoidable as the course was congested with many players.
Fairways were plush. Greens held shots and look like they are fast but they are the slowest greens of any course around.

Well kept! Course is already in great shape. Small club house but they have a grill/bar. Amazing range with good amount of grass

Played this course many times. Course in good shape. Will reform again. Sofie, the cart girl was awesome.
Great course
This course is a great combination of links golf, and a woodlands style course. Conditions were great layout is very challenging and you will use every club in your bag. Great risk reward course that will bite you if you’re not paying attention.
Cart path only
2 out of the past 3 weeks has been cart path only. For a senior this it quite a challenge. If we have known we would not have played.
Excellent round for the value and pace of play.
Greens were recently aerated but majority of greens were in good shape with exception of a patch or two. Challenging enough for average golfer and more difficulty available through other Ts. Glad I found this one . I would recommend it.
