Fairways in good shape. Greens fine except a few bare spots and minimal Poa. Some tee boxes were rough.

We weren’t happy having a 5-some in front of us.

Always liked the layout here, but conditions are always iffy. Many tee boxes are in rough shape, and some of the greens showed the burnout from the pre-emergent (did get the note when booking). Having said that, you're charging a premium price for a course that is not even close to being in premium shape. Not sure I'll be returning any time soon.

First time playing this course. The front nine was in much better shape especially the greens. Several greens on the back were eroded (less than 2%) but they plug the bare spots as dirt/sand was coming out. Fairways were growing in but honestly need some love as there were rock hard areas on some holes with little grass. You can tell they are working on sections of the course to address shade issues by clearing trees. Really enjoyed the layout but pace of play took a turn for the worse on the back nine. Overall for the price I was good with playing here.

I live right down the street and play this / Lake Arrowhead as my primary courses. I've been playing it for many years and while the course design is very good, the mostly poor conditioning of the course / practice area, lack of attentive marshals and the curious decisions around course improvements make me believe that course management either has a bottom dollar budget or just doesn't know what they're doing. A switch of ownership / management (a pipe dream I know) could do wonders as the golf course design is interesting/fun and there is plenty of room for improvement that would make this a stand-out course in the area.

Fun course to play with friends. Course was in great shape in early - mid spring. Pace of play was very slow

I love the layout and the views on this course. It’s built on a former farm with rolling hills and Mountain View’s. Some tees and greens are in need of repair but otherwise the course is greening up and looking good.

Played here many times, may never again. Course is nice, enjoy playing it. But when the starter is a complete jerk, picks a fight for you “not being on time” even though you are lined up 10 minutes early and he himself is inside doing god knows what until 10 minutes after your tee time (but maintains the audacity to not only blame you but argue about it as well) it ruins the mood. And when he physically lays hands on you (grabbed the inner thigh of my cart mate with a “okay, fine, it’s okay”, essentially I’m right just shut it) it’s even worse. Should’ve gone in and gotten a refund, at minimum. Our foursome was filled with two others who also expressed discontent with the attitude this starter displayed. Argumentative, physically assaulting, finger pointing for his own absence and tardiness. It’s enough not to come back, sadly.

We were a threesome and it took 5 hours to finish our round. The greens were aerated and sandy ( not mentioned on GolfNow) I would love to play the course with regular greens. Staff was very friendly and nice.

I enjoy this course. It’s perfect for the price and is pretty forgiving.

There was a 72 player scramble of seniors on the course that still had 9 holes to play at 1:00, which was our tee time. We're on the tee, behind a bunch of groups, and behind us comes a foursome from #18 saying they have 6 more holes to play.

The greens have a lot of weeds or Bermuda grass coming through, and the tee boxes are rough.

Fairways are fine for this time of the year. The greens are mostly OK but could use some spring weather to fill in some of the blemishes. Always a great course for scenic vistas.

We all enjoy playing this track. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. We are ready for spring and summer so we can get some green grass again!!

I love everything of this golf course. I enjoyed a lot today.

Always enjoy playing Callahan. It was cold and windy, but aced # 14. Better than normal outing!
