Callahan Golf Links

I’ve played Callahan 5 times now. I drive up from Marietta and play. It’s a very solid course and worth the money. It’s not going blow you away with 5 star luxury but it’s very very solid. Greens look healthy, fairways are usually in good shape, tee boxes overall are pretty solid. Layout offers some variety. It plays a little short but that makes it enjoyable hitting shorter irons or wedges more often than not. They just got some new golf carts and they have a little restaurant/bar are.

Also when the starter is out there rippin’ cowboy killers and shootin the breeze you understand the environment and how it’s the perfect amount of laid back.

The only thing i caution about is when you lose your ball deep into the high grass you aren’t finding it. It’s like a big hayfield, not normal rough/grass.

Callahan is worth a trip to Waleska, good little course.

It never stops amazing me how well taken care of this golf course is. Always playable, good pace of play & great greens! I have played it even when it first opened & most fairways were sprigs of Bermuda, fairways are so full and covered . An absolute value for the cost. Must see Par 3 - 8th hole from back tees in the Autumn, colors along Mountain back drop are spectacular.

Hole 1 is irritating but all others are fine. Good greens and a fair course.

Really enjoy playing this course. They’re out a ways but if you get a chance go have fun. Greens are healing up nicely after aeration and the balls are rolling well over most.

Greens had been aireated but didn't effect play very much.

Wife and I played the course got paired with some really nice guys who play the track quite a bit. That was a ton of help because there is definitely course knowledge you need to have out there. Layout was awesome and absolutely beautiful. The greens were punched and I still loved the round. Would recommend to anyone willing to make the drive.

Amazing course, most T boxes was good. Fairways good to play, our group had had a good time

Because of heavy rain Saturday course was cart path only. The hilly nature of the place always makes it a challenge. That having been said course is in great shape and the new golf carts are very good. Didn't hurt that I had 3 pars down the stretch (a rarity for me)...

Had a terrific time with one of my sons, faculty could not have been friendlier!

First time playing this course. I didn't have high expectations based on price but it definitely exceeded expectations. The course is fairly open but with the elevation changes and slopes on almost all holes you need to hit shots in correct locations not just in fairway. The greens were aerated but not sanded so kind of bumpy but you could tell very well kept and fast greens when not aerated.
