About
Callahan Golf Links in Waleska possesses a rich history of more than 150 years of farming and family ownership. Before being converted into a golf course, the site functioned as a farm from the Civil War until World War II. When creating the course, the natural beauty of the landscape was carefully preserved. As its name would suggest, the layout is a true links design with carefully placed pot bunkers and thick cuts of rough. Water is barely present but there are plenty of other challenges throughout that will quickly make you forget that fact. It is gentle enough for beginners but the back tees will challenge more experienced players. Golfers can also work on their short game on the chipping and putting greens or warm up on the driving range. The affordable rates make Callahan Golf Links an excellent value.

Golfer Reviews
Always Fun
Playing at Callahan is always a fun time ,the staff always treats you like family the grounds crew manage to keep the fairways and greens in great shape and it's always fun to play!
Good course
A perfect day for golf, temp around 60F. Course is well designed but with no run, some holes were difficult to reach in the allotted strokes. Be glad to get the grass out of its dormant state. Course was dry-ish despite recent rains with only a couple of fairways retaining water. Good company with Piper and Jim.
Not worth it
I wish I had at least one good thing to say about it but I don’t. The staff was rude , ineffective, 5 1/2 hour round. Literally any other golf course or even a driving range is better than this.
Golfin Lor
First time on the course for me and my brother (who is a golf pro) and we loved it. Didn't hurt that is was 73 degrees in February, but we loved the course and the experience. Highly recommend and we can't wait to make this a regular place we play.
Good
We were a older group and the cart path only wore us out. Lol. The course was not that wet and we wonder why it was cart path only. We liked the course, however.
SLOW AND SLOW
5 1/2 hours for a round of golf is too slow.No ranger,3 groups on each tee box.Yes it was cart path only but it still shouldn't take that long..
Steve’s review
Course is challenging but fair. Some room for mistakes but not much. tee boxes not the best condition. Still a tough course and challenging to play
