Great course
Beautiful layout, really good condition and even after some rain the course was a pleasure to play. Really challenging but fun can’t wait to go back
Nice course but Cart path only policy stinks
Love this course. Fun. Good shape. My only gripe is their over reaction to rain and cart path only.
Rains night before but not bad. Then all next day is cart path only. Fairways are dry. Dun is out Makes no sense. Not an easy course for that.
It’s happened 3 of the last 4 times I’ve played here. Yet other courses in the area aren’t CPO
Great Course
the only negative is players do not repair their pitch marks on the greens
Fantastic course conditions
First time playing Echelon. I have to say I have NEVER putted on better greens and I have played Peeble Beach, TPC Sawgrass and some of the nicest courses in the Southeast. The entire course was in incredible condition. Top 3 course conditions in my 40 years of golf. But I need to get out more, too.
Great Course almost ready!
This is a great course, challenging, fun layout and just a good time. Greens are still showing signs of being aerated and the grass is starting to green. One to two weeks and it will be in perfect shape. Looking forward to getting back out there!
WORTH EVERY PENNY
I had a fantastic time at Echelon, the staff was friendly and the course was in great condition for it being March. The greens rolled better than I expected, despite being aerated. I happened to snag a tee time as a single and I would definitely go back. I bet this course is amazing during the summer. Very long with lots of bunkers but if you manage your distances well it is scorable. 10/10 experience!!!!!
Solid challenging course
This is not a course for a beginner! But for a seasoned golfer, play with friends and all will be challenged. Notwithstanding cart path only, recently punched greens, range closed and nowhere to chip, we had a great round! Even with the sand, greens still were quite playable vs typical good public course greens. We rolled our ball because fairways have not greened up yet. Bunkers that were tended were quite playable but not so much for ones that weren’t tended. Course is challenging because there are bunkers EVERYWHERE! The greens are protected from, left, right and center literally on many holes! There are fairway bunkers on nearly every par 4/5 so you have to be able to hit your ball strategically and THINK strategically before hitting your ball. Adding to the challenge, many greens are quite small; with false fronts; steep slopes off the back; with either water or another bunker opposing you if you land in the bunker. Also, the fairway bunkers are often 60-80 yards long so they can catch both the 230 and 300 yard driver! You must also know there are numerous dog legs, long uphill shots and visually dauntingly downhill shots. But what a nice course to experience!
Best public course in Georgia
This is a great course. Definitely see why it’s rated one of the top two to play in Georgia. I played on a day when it had rained and was cold and windy. So it was cart path only but even still with all the bad winter, the course is in good shape. I look forward to playing here once spring comes and everything’s green.
Best public course in Georgia!
Granted it was after a lot of rain that I was able to play, but there is not another public course in this entire Atlanta area that’s in great shape as this course is an accessible by the public. Piece of play was nonexistent because of the weather, but the staff amazing. I can’t wait to come back and play.
