Heron Bay Golf & Country Club

we paid $80 to play an entire course that the greens were destroyed! 1-18 greens were molded and damp! Unbelievable that they would still charge that amount with no heads up or offer a discount! Never again and wouldn't recommend this course to anyone. I guess they're staying afloat by hosting tournaments... SAD!

Greens were in pretty rough shape. Fairways had a lot of mowing debris.

To be a $75 course on the hottest day of summer to have zero water on the course and no beverage cart is a joke. A cooler in the club house at the turn with no ice on the drinks is a joke. Fairways and tees are pure but greens have never had a ball mark repaired on them.

The course overall is well kept, fairways and tees are in great condition but there seems to be an issue with alot of the greens right now, about 50% if them are in poor condition. I have played here before and the greens were great so im not sure what has happened

In Town for a few days and figured I’d play Ashton Hills and Heron Bay. Played them two days apart and what a difference in conditions. Ashton Hills had immaculate fairways and fast true rolling greens in great shape. Heron Bay fairways in okay condition and greens were slow and bumpy with a lot of bare, burnt spots. Not what I was expecting for the price at Heron Bay, which was twice as expensive as Ashton Hills. The views at Heron Bay were very nice and the course has a challenging and picturesque layout. I just figured for the money the greens would be in pristine condition.

Great course for the money. Greens rolled good and considering the heat and lack of rain all was good.

It is unreal a course would continue to charge full price when the greens are absolutely horrendous. Usually this course is in really good shape. I've been playing here for a long time and have never seen a course punch there greens this bad and in the middle of summer. Burnt circles all over the greens on every green. Looks and rolled like someone took an aerator and skid it across every green. Mind you we paid 40 dollars on a HOT Deal and that was way overprices. My friend was not so lucky as they got him for over 50 dollars on a course that should have been 25 or less for the conditions of the greens. I have never seen them this bad....seriously i never write reviews on bad things and try to understand difficulty of having workers, weather etc. for courses to maintain but there is no excuse for this. I will be surprised if i ever go back here anytime in the near future and everyone should stay away at least for a few weeks until maybe they can save them.....DO NOT pay full price for this course.

First one out on the course so pace was great, not sure i would have been otherwise. Course is in good condition except the greens which tore up from lack of golfers repairing their ball marks on any of the greens. Not sure who the golf community in this state believes is responsible for going behind them and fixing their ball marks, but it is rampant problem.

The course was in ok condition. Some of the bunker where full of water due to rain. Greens has lot of ball marks. Fairway are on Google shape.

Everything was perfect except for bunkers. Greens, fairways and staff were all great. Practice facility great, pro shop under construction but should be really cool when done.

I’ll be back! I recommend this course to anyone.

Overall a nice course. Good practice green and driving range. Fairways and greens ( which roll great ) for the most part are very nice. We played mid-week and finished in 4 hours for a 4-some so good pace of play. My only complaint is the bunkers need work and I do think they are trying. Some are basically hardpan and some nice white fluffy sand. I realize bunkers are penalty areas, but some consistency would be nice. Just FYI, no food and beverage due to a remodel except for snacks in the pro-shop so don't come hungry or expect to ice down any drinks. The GolfNow hot deal for $35 we paid is a fair price.

Greens and tees good; fairways rival Hartsfield landing strips. Cart paths terrible. No drinking water on course. Hardpan on fairways and practice tee.. Many, many years of neglect, lack of maintenance....peeling paint on pro shop windows, etc.
