Go play this course.
Challenging but fair layout. Over the last five years, I’ve had the opportunity to play this course about a dozen times. From Saturdays in the summer when every slot on the tee sheet is booked, to rainy December afternoons.The one constant has been the outstanding customer service I’ve received from every staff member I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. As someone who spent a decade working in retail management, it’s always great seeing people doing more than what is expected of them. Certainly refreshing in today’s world.
Fun and awesome
One the best courses in the ATL area. If you are looking for a great time this the right spot!

Great Day, good course, greens perfect will be back.
Enjoyable
For this time of year, the course was in great shape. Everything was dormant, but still very playable. The greens were in nice shape, and rolled great for February. The layout and views were very enjoyable. Pace of play was awesome. It was 75 and sunny, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day.
One of my Favs in the Area
Heron Bay is always a great course to play in I’m in the area. The staff is super friendly, the course is challenging, and the weather normally cooperates. What more can one ask for? I will definitely return for more Heron Bay fun!!
Winter Golf
For it to be winter golf the course was well maintained and the greens were slick, but green! The additional facilities, practice range, and putting/chipping are were true representations of the course!
Outstanding!
I’m a relatively new golfer, using GolfPass to try a number of courses in the Atlanta area. Heron Lakes is my 6th, and best so far! Great course layout, friendly staff and active Marshall. Finished in 4 hours. I’m anxious to return!
Great Course…Slow Play
Course needs a ranger to speed up play. We were stacked up four deep waiting for one group who would not allow play through.
