About
Located just southeast of Phoenix in the town of Florence, Poston Butte Golf Club offers some of the most affordable golf in the area. The course has desert attributes but the best part about its design is that it is more forgiving than some of the overgrown desert courses found in north Scottsdale. The golf course features 49 sand traps strategically placed around the landing zones and greensides and water comes into play on two holes. It is generally a player-friendly layout though with wide fairways and ample room off the tees. The par-3 17th is the signature hole, which is known for its challenging island green. Poston Butte also offers a double-ended, targeted grass range and a short game area.

Nice as usual
We play here, every time we come in Arizona. First time with the wind blowing in our face all the time.not easy..
Still nice and fun to play. Cart path only is horrible

Great layout
Course was in good condition, the cart path only feature was a little disconcerting only that my partner shot most of her shots as far away from the path as possible.
The group behind were obviously good golfers and continued to hit into us, only stopping when I placed one of their tee shots on a tee.
Bad behavior from golfers who should have known better.

Great value and excellent condition
Poston is one we play often. Great value for your money. Practice conditions are excellent as well as the course is always in great shape. Usually greens are fast but since the course is coming out of overseed greens are slower than usual at this time. Great course for all skill levels of golfers.

Course overseeded but in great condition.
Except for greens which still need to be cut and rolled, the course is shaping up nicely. It will be perfect as usual in couple of weeks. This course will not fail you!
