Poston Butte Golf Club

Poston Butte was in good shape. Greens were punched a couple of weeks ago, but were okay and did not negatively affect my round. Staff was friendly and attentive. Will go back soon.

Very few courses take great care of they're course in the summer, but these guys do a superb job. Book a round and check it out.

But it will recover, recently punched and sanded the greens so pretty bumpy. Punched fairways also and they need it. Large areas of thin grass or no grass with tight lies, at least the plugs had been mowed up.

They failed to warn us about the greens until after we paid, didn’t offer a discount, but did tell us their could only be two carts on the grass at one time. I was paired up with a threesome who had a non playing rider (great people) but this cause our group to have three carts. They kept harassing us to keep at least one cart on the path at all times. During the poor greens / course conditions?!? What a joke. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

The course was in very good condition however, there were a few spots on the fairway where the water did not drain from irrigating. Overall, the greens ran true and were very receptive. GREAT value, and very friendly staff EVERY time I go there, ALSO LOVE the 17th hole, can be challenging

The weather was fantastic, however the course was very wet. Fairways and sand traps were wet and difficult to hit out of. Is it being overwatered?

Love the layout. The greens are how the course plays defense. Lightning fast, multi-level...must get ball in the right part of the green. 28 miles from home, 40 minute drive...no easy way to get there. Hardly the course's fault, right? Play it. You won't be disappointed!

If you expect any customer service there isn’t any so go there with that understanding you will be good. Oh ya it’s a walking only course when it’s above 90. Take it from me.
