Bartram Trail Golf Club
About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

This course will challenge a medium handycap from the Blue Tees.
Greens and fairways are in great condition, fairways are forgiving on most holes. The 18th Par 5 has a challenging second short over the creek. If you walk off with a PAR on this hole you've done well
Fun Golf Course
I always love playing at Bartram. This place is always very well maintained and has great practice areas. The course is a little quirky with 5 par 3s and 5 par 5s. The ninth hole is the best hole on the course by far! Lots of mounds and dunes that slope down toward the greens, so it you miss the green on the side with he mounding, the ball will often get closer to the green and maybe even creep on. But beware, because if it gets caught up in the rough, you will have a downhill chip that will be very hard to stop and get close to the hole. I would say the the most difficult part of the course is the tee shots. If you are someone who doesn't hit it more than 240/250 off the tee, you will definitely want to play this course from the whites in order to have the most fun. Longer hitters that can push it out to around 260/280 will not find the black tees all too difficult.
The Bartram is a Great place
A great course in good condition. Very fair from the middle tees for us older players! The staff are among the best in the area. Location, for me, is perfect. A must play for all golfers of any skill level and age!
Evans Secret Gem
A very nice course tucked away in the woods of northern Georgia. I was impressed.
Need to manage traffic.
The course was awesome and in great shape.
The problem is traffic management. everyone goes out as they walk in. Single, 2.3.4.The day I played, There was a single in front of me, a twosome in front of them, a threesome and finally a foursome. Behind me a single. twosome a threesome and a 4.
I played 12 holes and left the course due to the long waits on every shot. It took 3 hrs and 20 min to play 12 holes.
Great course conditions
Course in great condition both fairways & greens. Pace of play good ; will definitely play this course again!!
Changed the course in 2017
They have cut down trees, removed bunkers. I have played this course for years, and they have reduced the challenge of the course. It is a boring place to play. If you like a beginner par 3 course, you will love it.
Greens are going to be sweet.
Bartram Trail's greens are coming in nicely. They've just been aerated. With the recent rain, you can shoot for the pins and know it'll stick.
Good course to play
Travelling to Augusta after the week of Masters, I wad expecting all courses will be beat up. Not so at the Bartram trail. Fairway was In good condition and well defined. Green rolls fast even though they just micro punched and rolled. Many holes require t target shooting to place your ball in the ideal position for next shot. But at all holes, you are able to see where you are shooting, it means no blind shots.
There are some elevation changes to make the course interesting but not to a extreme degree. Good value at $49 with cart.
Customer service is very good. We are the first group to tee off and on several holes, we were waiting for the maintenance staff to change the pin placement and micro punch the green. After we phoned the proshop, they came right away and move us one hole ahead and give us half round extra at no cost even though we didn't ask for it. It was very thoughtful and we appreciated very much.
Pace of play
Pace was of play was our only complaint. Ended up having to skip 8 and 9 and circled back around after 18 with permission from club house. It took us 2 hours to play 1-7 due to the players ahead of us. 2 walking groups totaling 9 players.
A good all-around course
I play here a few times a month, year-round. The greens are always in good shape, even when others in the area are not. Price is higher than I'm used to but so is everyone else in Augusta. This course needs a bigger clubhouse. Only 3 small tables to sit at and they are usually full. the kitchen cannot accommodate lunchtime service. Good all-around course though.
Busy course this day
Greens in good shape as was most of the course. A couple holes have some bare spots that take away from the hole but overall a nice course.
Great course
This is a great course for any level. Very scoring friendly for all types of golfers. You need to know where to hit the ball off of the tee to go for greens. Back nine greens were being worked on but the crew was staying in front of me getting them ready before I played into hole.
Bartam never disappoints
Haven't played here in quite some time but like every other time we made the trek over to play here, seems this course never disappoints. Was surprised at the number of bunkers they have replaced with grass around the course making it even more easier to play, but that said the conditions here never disappoint, greens were excellent and fairways in very good shape in spite of all the recent rains. And compared to the reoccurring disappointing customer service of that course across from downtown by the River, the staff here at Bartram is nothing less than first class, and truly seem appreciative and customer friendly, so it certainly makes the long trek over to play worthwhile.
Exceptional greens
What an overall great course. The pace of play wasn't the greatest due to the 74 degree February weather, but considering as wet as it has been around here, the course and greens especially were in excellent shape. Just an extremely fun track to play and with the golf now app, a bargain as well.
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
Just to add, there is no washroom I the course! Did your visit before tee off especially for the ladies! Maybe they got to place some portal Johns along the holes.
