Bartram Trail Golf Club
About
Bartram Trail Golf Club in Evans is situated just minutes from Augusta National. Despite the fame of its neighbor, Bartram Trail stands out for being Columbia County's only public golf course. It has a location next to Patriot's Park that provides forests of mature hardwoods and pine trees that were fully utilized in the design. The scenic and well preserved landscape of the golf course includes rolling hills, natural wetlands, and the meandering Euchee Creek. The dedication to preserving the beauty of the terrain earned the course certification as an Audubon International Wildlife Sanctuary. Although the hills, trees, and wetlands present some formidable challenges, Bartram Trail Golf Club was designed with playability in mind as well. There are some tricky holes but it's not overly punishing for the high handicapper.

Greens are going to be sweet.
Bartram Trail's greens are coming in nicely. They've just been aerated. With the recent rain, you can shoot for the pins and know it'll stick.
Good course to play
Travelling to Augusta after the week of Masters, I wad expecting all courses will be beat up. Not so at the Bartram trail. Fairway was In good condition and well defined. Green rolls fast even though they just micro punched and rolled. Many holes require t target shooting to place your ball in the ideal position for next shot. But at all holes, you are able to see where you are shooting, it means no blind shots.
There are some elevation changes to make the course interesting but not to a extreme degree. Good value at $49 with cart.
Customer service is very good. We are the first group to tee off and on several holes, we were waiting for the maintenance staff to change the pin placement and micro punch the green. After we phoned the proshop, they came right away and move us one hole ahead and give us half round extra at no cost even though we didn't ask for it. It was very thoughtful and we appreciated very much.
Pace of play
Pace was of play was our only complaint. Ended up having to skip 8 and 9 and circled back around after 18 with permission from club house. It took us 2 hours to play 1-7 due to the players ahead of us. 2 walking groups totaling 9 players.
A good all-around course
I play here a few times a month, year-round. The greens are always in good shape, even when others in the area are not. Price is higher than I'm used to but so is everyone else in Augusta. This course needs a bigger clubhouse. Only 3 small tables to sit at and they are usually full. the kitchen cannot accommodate lunchtime service. Good all-around course though.
Busy course this day
Greens in good shape as was most of the course. A couple holes have some bare spots that take away from the hole but overall a nice course.
Great course
This is a great course for any level. Very scoring friendly for all types of golfers. You need to know where to hit the ball off of the tee to go for greens. Back nine greens were being worked on but the crew was staying in front of me getting them ready before I played into hole.
Bartam never disappoints
Haven't played here in quite some time but like every other time we made the trek over to play here, seems this course never disappoints. Was surprised at the number of bunkers they have replaced with grass around the course making it even more easier to play, but that said the conditions here never disappoint, greens were excellent and fairways in very good shape in spite of all the recent rains. And compared to the reoccurring disappointing customer service of that course across from downtown by the River, the staff here at Bartram is nothing less than first class, and truly seem appreciative and customer friendly, so it certainly makes the long trek over to play worthwhile.
Exceptional greens
What an overall great course. The pace of play wasn't the greatest due to the 74 degree February weather, but considering as wet as it has been around here, the course and greens especially were in excellent shape. Just an extremely fun track to play and with the golf now app, a bargain as well.
Nice Course
Batram Trail is a nice course and fun to play but the price is only average based on the course and golf carts. I like it, but it would be nice to have some course and hole maps included on the golf carts and better distance markers on the course.
Bartram Trail GC
Always a great place to play and today did not disappoint. Sunday round and the pace of play was good. Overall course in great condition, quite a few leaves on the ground made finding your ball somewhat difficult. Greens very, very fast, fun to putt. Recommend
Fantastic
Fantastic golf course. Great shape, challenging but fair. Greens were probably the best I've ever putted on. Highly recommend.
Great Course Bad members
We were having a great time until the 8th hole when a member got upset because on of the guys hit a drive about 20 yards from them when they were getting in there cart. He shouted profanity and then proceeded to stop up half way up the fairway. He was very rude the profanity was awful and it almost came to blows. We went to pro shop and reported what happened and the pro shop worker was very concerned and reported it to general manager. Manger did call me back the next day and said he would talk to the member. But no restitution as far as offering are rounds back. And last comment the member was at edge of driving range when we were going to the 10th tee and shouted at us again in which pro shop worker was on deck and heard him. ITS A SHAME COURSES HAS TO HAVE MEMBERS LIKE THAT. NO WONDER GOLF IS GETTING SO EXPENSIVE!!!!!!!!
SLOW
Great course and awesome greens, but maybe the slowest paced course in Augusta area.Last time we played there we left after 12 holes which took almost three and a half hours.I would play there every week if they could fix pace of play.
Great Layout & Perfect Conditions!
Love this golf course!! Tee to Green was perfect and would be a great course for anyone from a beginner-low handicap!
Château Élan Stay & Play Golf Package
Just to add, there is no washroom I the course! Did your visit before tee off especially for the ladies! Maybe they got to place some portal Johns along the holes.
