3 hours at hole 11
Never again! It took 3 hours to get to 11. Pace of play was horrible, and no ranger paying attention. We left. $140 for 11 holes!
Great course
This was the first time we played the course and it was a pleasant surprise. Challenging yet player friendly. The only complaint would be the lack of restrooms on the course. I would definitely recommend the course.
friendly people
very nice layout that I believe needs continuing maintenance although considering the drought in the area I may be being too harsh. The greens and fairways were very playable with lots of contour but rough was rough. I played as a single, midmorning with a twosome and when we caught up with the group in front they let us play through, finished in under 4 hrs.
coral oaks
The course wse in excellent condition, especially considering the overall drought conditions in the entire state of Florida.. I would play this course again. John

Shameful
The City of Cape Coral should be embarrassed by the condition of their municipal course. Large bare areas in all fairways, many greens in poor condition with chunks in them and most tee boxes have dirt sections. Literally have to move the ball on several greens to have an unimpeded putt. The layout is nice and challenging but such a shame that Cape Coral has let their course deteriorate. It’s not like they don’t charge a good amount to play in season. Avoid this course until they put the time, money and effort into improving this course. Unless you’re a beginner and don’t care, play elsewhere. Such a disappointment!
Improving
The course conditions have improved since fall and winter rounds but still room to improve. The chipping and putting greens are still closed. One green and 2 tees were a bit rough. Hopeful that conditions keep improving.
Decent course if you get it for under $40
Course looks to be coming back into shape, but still too many bare spots on fairways and a few on greens. Will get better with more maintenance.
Falling apart
Tee boxes were acceptable.
Fairways were 25% baren.
Greens were rough , but pins tended to avoid the bad spots.
Bunkers were in solid shape.
The price for the condition is absolutely insane. It's worth forty bucks at this point. They are selling out because there isn't many other options nearby so either drive farther or pay these insane price for a rough course.
STILL NEEDS LOTS OF WORK
I know that a new irrigation system was installed in November, but the course still needs a lot of work. A number of the greens are terrible, most of the tee boxes are terrible, most of the fairways have large bare spots. The bunkers are inconsistent, some hard as a rock some not too bad. The putting green hasn't been open for months. I do like playing there and I'm hoping by this time next year I'll see lots of improvements. The staff is the highlight of the course. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
Nice course
A really friendly place to go to and play golf. You always feel welcome and it’s so easy to get friends. P
