Greens were more sand than green could stand more care

I know there's been a lot of rain lately but there was several areas where we had .to drive through water to get to the next tee box. The golf cart paths are very narrow too. Hate the Queen course!

I will start this review out by saying that this course has a GREAT layout and I would recommend it if it were well taken care of. Having said that, we played Queen/King layout Saturday morning around 8am. The greens had been punched and top-dressed the day before. Maintenance was being performed on holes 1-4 and the greens were completely unplayable. The grounds crew were still working on the course and the proshop/starter had no idea. On top of this, many holes were flooded and it was cart path only. The Queen 9 was a mess but the King 9 was in decent shape. A course with 27 holes should have better planning when it comes to which combination of 9's they send golfers out on and which are unplayable.

Two trips to Royal Tee over two weeks. Both times we had a one pm tee time. The course was ridiculously over booked. The first day we left after being told we may get out butt woot two thirty. The next week we stayed. Three tee times for every time slot. All of us going off queen. Line up five deep at one thirty. Teed it up at two. Even though we had booked for 18, we quit due to darkness after 13. We will be back.

Showed up 15 minutes prior to tee time. Course ran out of carts. Waited 30 minutes for a cart (about 3 4-somes were waiting before we got in line). Got going about 40 minutes late. Nothing about this course will make a positive impression on you. Not terrible but not much.

No carts , Tee time of 10:30 changed to 11:45waited till 12:35 to get a Tee.Start with cart. So now we are off just to wait after every shot. ( no ranger to speed up play). Let's talk Greens. I wonder what year they had a top dressing. And now the bunkers >> no drainage, no sand just hard pack mud. Avoid this coarse at this time

I booked tee time at 1:00. When I got there I checked in and had to wait along with 5 other par of golfers who had a 1:00 tee time. The reason we had to wait was because they ran out of golf carts, we had to wait for 45 minutes for a cart. We were never compensated for the inconvenience. If your going to run a course u need to make sure u have enough carts. When we got our cart we started play on the prince course. I couldn't believe how bad the greens were along with the course itself. There was a lot of water in the sand boxes and on the cart paths. It's unfortunate I had to pay to play on this course. I'm glad I booked it on golf now and got a deal and didn't pay full price for this horrible experience. This was my first time and I will not come back to play for the price they are asking. I would not recommend this course. Some sort of compensation should have been given.

Arrived for our 1:15 tee time only to find the course was massively over booked. They blamed Golf Now. There were no carts, so we had to wait for someone to bring one in. Finally, got on the 1st tee at 2:23 with a dirty cart that had someone else's trash in it and a battery that needed charging. Had to wait on every shot because the course was so packed. Due to drainage issues there was water and mud everywhere. The greens had bad spots. And, the traps have either shells, stones, or water in them. The mosquitos nearly ate us up on #7 and 8 on the Queen. So, after 9 miserable holes and a cart that would barely make it in...we quit! It could have been worse though. I met a guy at the bag rack that had a 10:20 tee time who didn't get out till 12:15 and had just finished 18 holes. He said he was never coming back.
The employees are friendly and the course layout is very nice. The surrounding homes are very nice. But the Members need a new Manager and a Course Superintendent to get this place to the level it belongs. For now, play elsewhere.

First time to play and was very pleased . Good value for the money. Lots of lakes but not big concern just nice to look at. Its a course that has some holes you would play different next time. The 2 guys played from the white and was plenty of challenge. The 2 women played from the red and they were very fair and they enjoyed themselves. Will definitely return.

My brother and I played with another gentleman and we enjoyed our round. It was a beautiful day and the course was crowded. We had to wait a little while for out cart to become available, but the starter and other course personal were friendly and helpful. The course was still wet from the storms that have frequented
Florida these past weeks, but overall the conditions weren't to bad. There are some challenging holes and lots of water to avoid, but it is not and unfair layout.

A nice course. We played Prince and King. The course has a lot of water and was a little soggy from the bad weather two days earlier. I would play it again when it dries out.

Course would be a lot better IF they would not SOAK it as they do regularly. It is almost impossible to hit a shot right in the middle of the fairways and not have a clump of mud on your ball. The saturated fairways also affect your approach shots. It is aggravating to hit a perfect drive only to have to clean/place your ball for next shot. Will not be back anytime soon.

Two years ago I wouldn't have paid $5.00 to play this course. I was surprised at the work that has been done to resurrect this facility. The greens have improved, the bunkers are being re worked, but some are still needy. Fairways are tightly mowed and the rough is fair. Staff is helpful and friendly. Right now it's worth the price, but will need more work to make it a $70.00 a round value.

We enjoyed our round. Overall course was in good shape except for bunkers which were all treated as waste bunkers.

Greens have improved since I last played Royal Tee
several years ago. Bunkers need some work but enjoyed the round.

The good first - friendly and helpful pro shop staff and the carts are clean and ready to go.
The bad - the course itself. The carts should be fitted with pontoons for the first 4-5 holes on each of the courses - there are 3 - 9 hole courses King, Queen and Prince and you are assigned which 2 to play for your round. I played the Queen and then the King. Both starting segments are mud!. Cart paths have 6 inches of water on them. Balls plug deeply on the fairways. The greens are well trimmed but walking up to them is a messy task. If the courses were dry, they'd be challenging and fun. As they are, UGH! Will never go back and will not recommend anyone either.

I have lived in SW FL since 2010 and have played many tracks in the area. Out of all the tracks played this was by far the WORST I have played. There would appear to a severe drainage problem at this course. Standing water everywhere. Staff was extremely unfriendly. Needless to say I will NEVER be back and will encourage all others to stay away. Being in SW FL there are MANY other great tracks to play that have both welcoming staff and great course conditions.

This course is in the worst condition I've ever seen it. (And I thought last year was bad) From the practice tee, which is nothing more than dirt and weeds.... to the practice putting green, to the nonexistent short game area. (the same short game area that's been going through "renovations" for over a year now. The course is not much better. Regardless of the amount of rain they've had this summer, this course is just UGH! Horrible Horrible conditions. I paid for 18 holes, but called it a day after 9 because I just couldn't take it anymore. When I asked to speak to the head pro to ask about the club's plans to improve the facility I was told by the pro shop clerk he "is not in". A minute later he pulls up on a cart (obviously from out playing) and walks into the pro shop. You would think the lady would've told him I was waiting to see him. Nope. She completely ignored the situation and went back to looking at her phone. Before I knew it, the pro walked back out hopped in his cart and was off to play another 9 horribly conditioned holes. Stay away from this place!
