good value for the money
This course is a work in progress at the moment - but there is clear evidence of the work, which is very much in progress. For the price, you can forgive a lot!
Give them another season and I think this will be a little gem
Great course for the price
Got a Hot Deal and for the price it was great!
Greens a bit spotty but the course is an older one.
Challenging layout
I've been playing the scores for over 30 years and it's the best condition it's ever been in.
Drastically improved
I reviewed this course 6 months ago and it was terrible. 6 months later it's in pretty awesome shape. 3 or 4 of the greens need some love. All of the brush has been cut back and mowed down. Many fairways have been opened and widened. Tee boxes have been redone and some repositioned. Fairways are in excellent shape. Overall, the new ownership has done an excellent job turning this course around in 6 months. Playing again on Saturday!
Casselberry
It is what it is folks and its been pretty much the same for the last 25+ years.
You play there because its a cheap and easy to play course.
Hit and miss conditions. Seen better here, seen worse.
Make the best of it....if you expect more than the basics you should go elsewhere.
Almost there
I hate to be critical as I know they have made great progress since the course changed hands, but these are the worst greens I can remember playing in a long time. The work they have done on the fairways, tee boxes and bunkers is clearly evident, but it appears they are putting no emphasis on the greens. They are extremely slow and look they haven't been cut in days, bare spots covered with sand and doesn't even look they are being worked on. However, at the end of the day, what do you want for the money, it's all relative. Some day, I think and hope they will have this course in good condition, it's just not there yet, but keep up the good work gentlemen, it's looking a whole lot better than it used too!
Renovating the greens needs to be a priority!
I live on the course, like the track a lot and wish I could play there. But the majority of the greens are in HORRIBLE shape! I like and appreciate the cosmetic work/landscaping they've done, but I can't understand why they've done nothing about the greens as they continue to deteriorate ... why hasn't it been a priority to renovate them? Until that happens, I really have no interest in playing the course ... which is a shame.
Price & Condition
I was able to get a $15.00 rate on Golf Now with a T-Time 7:52. After that $30. That is definitely "not" a $30 golf course.
It was however in a lot better shape than expected. Some of the greens were in bad shape but overall good.
I was told that they are offering a Veteran rate of $15 weekdays, $19 weekends. That would make it worth my playing there once in awhile.
I am a Vietnam Veteran and as far as I know this is the only Golf course in the area that offers a Veteran discount.
Much improved
I've played this course twice this summer. Once in July and today (Sept 24th) . all of the tee boxes that were once under construction are completely finished and look fantastic. They have cut back all the brush and opened up the course more. The rough was all trimmed down and mowed. On this course, don't be too far off the fairways the rough is still deep heavy grass but you can find your ball.
The tee box markers do not match the colors that are on the scorecards. Be careful when looking at your distances. The first par 3 plays very very short.
Several of the greens still need quite a bit of work and have sandy spots and rough patches.
The fairways are in great shape. All in all Since integrity golf company has taken over the course has really really started to come around this summer. Excited to see what it looks like this winter!
Great job to the grounds crews!
Great Value
Had the pleasure of playing this course in February of this year. Played three straight days and was very happy with the entire experience. The weather was rainy on one day but the course held up very well and was a lot of fun.
Excellent Value
Course is in excellent, greens are slow but true.
Short ball hitters course
No need for a driver anywhere on this course.
Short hitters course. One of my local favorites.
They're re-doing several of the tee boxes this summer. The greens were heavily sanded the weekend we played.
A good local course on a budget. Never rushed or pushed up on.
"Getting better every day"
This course used to be in MUCH worse shape and has been steadily improving ever since Integrity took over a year ago. By no means is it "fixed" but it is at least playable at the low price. Fairways look ALOT better and they have cut back some of the growth which helps playability and maybe drainage. Greens still need work, but it is summer time after all. Good for a practice round.
Course under repair
Tee boxes are being redone. Greens are rough, lot of bare spots with uneven sand. Fairways were in bad shape, lot of weeds and bare spots.Rough was thick weeds and almost unplayable.
Under construction
Course is undergoing renovation tee boxes are being re-sodded and greens are sparce many have just sand in a number of areas but I think management is at least working to improve the course and for the price it's still good enough to enjoy a round for those economy minded people
This course is a great value
This course is really fun for my skill level (beginner). I really like how short and compact it is because it really gives you a chance to improve your game and is my go to for when I want to work on some things. It is very affordable and the course is in very good condition, the greens and fairways are in much better condition than they were not to long ago. Overall I feel like the ownership is working to improve this course and are succeeding, I would definitely reccomend trying it.
Good little course
If you like neiborhood courses you'll love this one. Not very long and nice layout, too many little creeks crossing fairways, annoyinng.Otherwise a fun day.
Enjoy Bill
Casselberry dog track
It would be nice it you would let people know you aerated the greens and the tee boxes are onset repair
Short Fun Course
I've probably played this course more that 100 times over the past 25 years or so. It's basic layout has never changed, although 10 years or so ago the course switched the back nine (consisting of the most difficult holes) and made it the front nine. If you can get through the first 4 holes without a big number, you'll probably shoot one of your better scores. Helps that - even from the tips - the course plays out only at 5,500 yards. From the tips, though, this course will present a challenge because there's water, water, everywhere! Holes 1 - 4, and 7 - 9 all have prominent water hazards. From the tips, Nos. 4 and 9 have difficult, forced carry tee shots (the only holes calling for a driver off the tee, for me). The back 9 is quite a bit less interesting but features Par 3's which (again, from the tips) play out at 190 and 215 yards, respectively. Last time I played, 2 weeks ago, the tee boxes were a little chewed up, and the fairways a tad hit and miss as far as the presence of dirt and weeds, but the greens made up for it all by running true (albeit as slow as Velcro). Overall, a very satisfying golf experience at VERY reasonable rates. Enjoy !
The course needs help
The greens were not good at all--The cart paths are terrible, especially from the number 9 green to the clubhouse--Some of the fairways have large bare places on them.
