About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in Dec 2018.
Crystal River Golf Club (formely known as Seven Rivers Golf & Country Club) has been a local favorite since it first opened in 1968. The course is not only one of Crystal River's most affordable rounds but also one of its most scenic. It's not unusual for golfers to be joined by the golf course's abundant wildlife, which includes everything from turtles and alligators to egrets and eagles. The golf course has a traditional parkland layout that is routed through stands of mature oak and maple trees. A network of ponds and steams weaves throughout the golf course as well. It's a challenging but fair test where water hazards and sand bunkers come into play often. In addition to the course, Crystal River Golf Club also has a practice facility with a driving range and a putting green with a sand bunker.

The course was very wet
We booked through Golfnow.com but at the course they didn't know that. There was a youth tournament so we had to wait sometime. However this was solved by the friendly staff.
It had rained the night before so the course was very wet and muddy which is not usual in Florida with one night of rain.
Good times on a nice course
This course is definitely a challenge for the novice player. Lots of doglegs and holes where you must play for the correct position in order to have a good approach shot. Water is present on many of the holes but rarely comes into play unless you have a mishit. Greens were in wonderful shape and were rolling about a 9-10 on the Stimpmeter (fairly fast and true).
All in all me and my neighbor had a great time, the staff was very friendly and helpful. I would certainly play here again and would also recommend it to anyone.
I have played this course several times and has always found it to be in great condition. It is a challenging course with lots of water and hazards.
I love this course. It is great. Very challenging with lots of water and woods to play around. It is well worth playing any day.
Well Groomed and Fun to Play
A forgiving course with wide, flat fairways that are well-maintained. There is a fair amount of water, but most does not come into play unless you hit a very wayward shot. The fairways and greens were in very good condition.
course needs grass
The layout can be challenging. Greens are very good. Bunkers were well groomed. Tee boxes were very rough and uncut. Fairway grass was thin and sparse. When I arrived at the course I was supposed to play with 2 others but ended up playing by myself as they went out without trying to hook up. I played on Tuesday at 8am. I found out at the turn they have a 10 oclock shotgun start for the locals.
